Hey Guys,

BCF currently have the Dual Zone CFX-65 listed at $999 but they are throwing the cover in for free too which is worth $100+

Postage is expensive ($69 for me) but looks to be heaps of stock around.

Waeco/Dometic compressor in this.

Plenty of "cheaper" options, but good 3yr warranty here.

Begin the Engel vs Waeco arguments.

Deal Link says $1599, but it will be $999 in cart.

10% price beat at Anaconda should be applicable also - https://www.anacondastores.com/shop-anaconda/play-more-pay-l…

Don't forget 4% cash rewards online.

I haven't tried this but it may be possible to order gift vouchers online (email delivery to avoid postage) and receive the 4% and then use these for payment and receive the 4% again. No specific T&Cs that I have seen.

      Two issues with that

I want to buy or have bought an item online. How can I claim the lowest price guarantee?
The lowest price guarantee is not available for online purchases at this time.

And you can't do it in store, as Anaconda no longer have that model. This is the older model that should be cleared everywhere, it's how I got my CFX-40 cheap - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/289268. Anaconda have the new and now current CFX-65W.

That CFX65W is not dual zone (CF'XX'DZW), the BCF one is dual zone. IF you prefer the non dual zone, then Tentworld has it for $1159 and Anaconda has it at $1399, so price beat.

Id prefer the BCF unit as its dual zone.

        • Right, good pickup, so yet another difference why you can't do the Anaconda price beat unfortunately.

We just did the whole fridge camping shop around thing.

Looked very hard at the Waeco's but ended up getting a EvaKool 70L Poly Fridge/ Freezer/ Combo. For $899 "factory second", but they have a 5 year warranty.

Was the best decision, We have a few friends with the waeco's, and the Evakool just works better, and gives you better options.

Don't forget with the waeco you'll need to get the cover for it too.

  • How do these compare to Kings brand from 4wd supercentre at about $650?

    • Fair bit better, this is a higher quality Waeco/Dometic compressor vs the older (and more power hungry) danfoss.

The kings will get you by, but it won't be as good as this.

      • LOL, Danfoss were and still are well respected. Evakool used them too as did a few others. Engel have their own compressor. Waeco shifted to its own brand a few years after Danfoss opened a factory in China. Waecos factory is also in China.

        • Yeah, Danfoss still very respected. The Waeco units are relatively new so time will tell, but apparently expected to be similar life, but use a lot less power over the period.
