I just tried booking a movie for 3d Despicable Me. And it had an option for Student Mondays 3D Ticket for $10 +$1.1 booking fee.

and and extra $ if you need the glasses too

just make sure that under your cinibuz 'edit my details' you have SMNAT1219 in the promotional code.

Usually each Uni's student union offers $10-$11 movie ticket + $1 for 3D for Hoyts and Village and it can be used for any time.. (e.g. http://theunistore.com.au/ for Melb Uni)
