how much are they? 100% CB?

    • about $30 a pack of 50

  • Good luck finding a chemist that sells Telfast for only a few dollars more than the generic.
I just paid $20 for 70x180mg of generic fexofenadine: http://www.chemistdirect.com.au/fexorelief-180mg-tab-x-70-ge…
Chemist Warehouse have the brand name for $30, so that's still $23 after discount. That might be marginally better after you pay for shipping from the online chemist, if that's the only thing you're buying (and if you steal stamps from work to send in your cashback claim). But bundle a few purchases together and you're better off buying the generic online.

I've noticed generics starting to disappear from Chemist Warehouse. Telfast is the only brand of fexofenadine they carry.

It's weird, it feels like they have dominated the market and are now using their position to lift prices, but on the other hand generics are supposed to be higher margin. Doesn't make sense, something is afoot.

      • Theory:

Let's make a couple of assumptions. Let's say under normal circumstances the $20 generics cost (cost price) $5 and the $30 Telfast cost $20. This means the chemist is happy to sell the cheaper generics because they actually make more money but either way it's good bank so they carry both.

If CW use their market position to negotiate the $20 cost price on Telfast down to $10 (give us this price or we'll take you off the shelf) then they start making more money on the name brand. Then they delete the generic.

      • Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen generics at Chemist Warehouse. Some bricks and mortar independent chemists sell them for about the same price as Chemist Direct online. A couple of them even participated in the last Amex Shop-Small.

  • Did this last year, never got my cashback. It's only worth so much effort to get $7 so didn't follow up. I won't bother again, or is like being scamned.Better to put the effort into finding a bargain.

    • darn, I wish I saw these posts earlier

  • To receive SEVEN DOLLARS only, you have to provide them your private info:
    Full name
    Mobile
    Contact Email
    Full Address
Your Paypal Email or bank details…

And the effort of scanning and uploading the receipt…

Would you really want that cashback?
