Found this camping stretcher half price at BCF and picked one up, can't speak to the quality yet but it was cheaper than a lot of the narrower ones I could find even with postage.
Not many specs but
L210 x W80 x H47cm
120kg weight capacity

Square aluminium tube, there was more info on BCF's eBay page:
Square aluminium tube with matte finish
600D polyester fabric
Foldable for easy storage
210cm x 80cm x 47cm
Load capacity 100kg
Although the entry on their website said rated for 120kg :/
I have two of these. A bit longer than usual, handy for those tall people. They're metal and sturdy.
Good to hear after buying unseen - thanks for the feedback Conka
I borrowed one of these to go camping last month.
Damn was it uncomfortable on its own with just a plain sleeping bag. So uncomfortable that I went looking around the camp site for some type of padding material in the middle of the night - I couldn't hack it anymore.
If you plan to take it camping, try and get a nights sleep with it at home before you go.
The main benefit is that it offers a smooth (tree-root and rock free) surface.
Hmmm - less encouraging :/ planning on using it with a foam mattress, fingers crossed that enough - will do a trial-run first though for sure thanks mshannon
Comments from @mshannon above are true, BUT .. it is personal preference. I'm OK with the bed as it is, but sleep better with a mattress. Not the Mrs, though.
We use something like this. http://www.bcf.com.au/Product/Wanderer-Touring-4x4-Mat-King-…
Good alternative to a traditional dog bed. My dog loves sleeping on these!
Planning on using it when I'm in the dog house haha
touche!
Good deal if you get injured whilst camping.
