Not really. Better off waiting until there are more games and the Switch is cheaper/an upgraded model comes out.
I'd wait for E3 to see what major upcoming titles are coming (12 days from now). And even after E3…I'd wait till those games actually become available for the Switch - Australia unlike Japan or the US has plenty of available stock; no shortages.
