    Prices will be 20% more?

    • +12

To be fair, they haven't dropped since the last 20% sale from the last weekend

      • +10

        So they'll increase a further 20% now?

        • +4

          I wouldn't even be surprised

        • +1

@SLY JD: Note that warehouse_1_online has increased prices more than 20%

        • +1

          @Joe Sixpack:
I don't even bother at this point. Straight to MSY

      • +2

Does that mean they will increase further ?

        • +1

          Any bargains?….

        • Doubt it

  • -6

    Here we go again!

  • Woah, so there's 10% off all of eBay and 20% off selected stores? Now, can stores resist price bumping?

  • +20

Here's the search link OP for the frenzy

Doesn't seem to just be appliances.

  • +5

what does FromChinawithlove sell, chinese sex toys?

    • link?

    • +30

Do you think before posting any of your comments?

      • +1

At this point safe to say the user just posts to add to their post count stat.

        • +3

          Why would anybody do that?

        • +2

I mean seriously, why would they?

        • @jv:

          Why would they?

        • +1

          @nocure:

Dunno, I'm not the one saying they would.

        • +2

          @nocure:

Why would I say that anyway?

  • -7

    negative.. because no savings :)

    • 1% saving is a saving

      • +7

Well mate, have I got a mini retro console for you!…. :)

    • 20% is a saving isn't it…..

      • +4

20% off prices increased by 20%+ is no saving.
See recent eBay deals for context.

        • +8

Why not wait until the deal starts and see if there are any savings before negging?

        • It's a fair comment. Given the history of EBay sales

        • +20

          Not arithmetically correct.

Even if you assume 20% price increase to 120%, a 20% discount applied to the inflated figure will result in 96%, meaning there is a saving.

        • +2

          @Fiximol:

          Mind=blown

        • @Fiximol:
I remember this being my grade 3 maths trick question.

        • 20% off prices increased by 20%+ is no saving.

They don't all increase their prices, there are some great bargains…

  • +1

    Wow DigiDirect is included.

    • Thanks to your comment, I'm looking at buying a lens. Seems that local pickup is only possible in Melbourne :-/ I called to see if I could just pick up in Sydney, but they said no. So $12 for postage - but a decent saving (20%)

      • Was thinking of buying the Canon MP-E lens to start my macro, but I don't have a canon body haha.

        • Same, was thinking of buying some Ferrari tyres, but I don't have a Ferarri haha

  • does any of the stores listed above sell canon g7x mk ii?

    • Yes there is a NZ store that sells it.

  • Any good deals on graphics cards?

Thinking of getting either GTX 1060, 1070 or RX480.

Seems FutuOnline and ShoppingExpress both bumped up their prices zzz….

  • +1

no bing lee or good guys :(

  • +35

remember people the 10% off site wide offer could be better than the 20% off selected sellers offer.

    • +8

      That's a bold statement there tuzii…

  • +2

There don't seem to be any TVs worth buying after the discount, most are already >500+ what JB/HN/TGG have listed on their normal websites

  • +9

Let the blind up voting begin!

    • More like let prices to be jacked!

  • +6

Embrace yourself for the biggest price jacking of all time

    • +2

Precisely why I take a breath before deciding to click that + button. I'm way too skeptical of these broad eBay deals.

    • +2

Brace yourself for an epidemic of embracing.

    • +1

I already embraced myself last night, I'm good for a few days

  • +3

    Can't see any non-branded australian stock Galaxy S7 :(

      • +5

They just jacked up their price as well - Now it is $739.95.

      • Looks like a grey import to me. 1 year warrenty only (instead of 2) and it doesn't say by who.

    • What's the pros of non-branded?

      • You won't get unnecessary software (bloatware) from a telco like Optus, Telstra etc, and no telco splashscreens on boot. Also updates go through that Telco so if you got someone like Vodafone who is slow, as far as I know, updates may take longer.

I just pulled the trigger on this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S7-SM-G930F-4G-LTE… with the 10% off code.

Don't have the best vibe though, item says 'Factory Unlocked' yet when I asked them they now say it is Telstra branded. Also asked does the invoice have GST on it so I can claim it through the TRS, they kind of avoided the question "yes we provide an invoice".

Posted over here as a side discussion, not exactly sure what I should do -> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/310259

        • +2

You should be able to flash the unbranded XSA firmware and get the same experience. It won't affect your warranty as it's still an official ROM.

  • Any fridges u recommend buying ?

    • +1

+1 for the deal OP. Thanks

    • No, but there are some good deals on fridge magnets.

      • Lol :)

  • +3

Prices on COTD seem to have been jacked up.. For instance, most KAYANO 23 shoes were $160 but now $180.

  • +1

    Any good phone deals?

  • +8

Vaya jacked the S7 on their eBay store from $629 to $689…

    • +4

Yeah I was watching that too….How to complain to ACCC?

      • -3

Why would you complain to ACCC, nothing will come from it.

689*0.8 = 551.2 so it ends up being cheaper anyway.
They have the right to sell it at the price they want, you get a discounted price anyway. If it is not what you want to pay then buy elsewhere.

I understand that it sucks that prices increase but businesses have the right to make a profit and they are not exactly ripping you off….

        • +19

Because it's an illegal practise. Kogan got fined for doing it, and we need to report stores that continue to do it. It's not right.

        • +3

@Ashman247: Agreed!!! But what is the process to report it?

        • +7

@kiwiinoz: And now they have just blown it out of the roof, jacked it up to AU $1,149.00….ridiculous!!!!

        • +5

@Ashman247: Vaya will have the most complaints I think. This will set them straight.
          accc-complaint:111672

        • +2

@kiwiinoz: There is a Vaya store rep on OZB - "Vaya Ian Fagan". Is there a way to tag him in these posts so Vaya knows this is illegal?

        • @Ashman247: Before and after screenshots are useful too I'd imagine.

        • @mattythecapybara:

That's right, though I also believe that eBay shows price history? That could be used too I guess?

        • +4

@Ashman247: I just used ebay price history for my complaint against Vaya.

        • @kiwiinoz:
good on you! doing that is the only thing that will cause changes

        • @Ashman247: I guess I'm too much of a n00b, but where do you get the price history? Can they subvert it by relisting, if not how does it track whether it's the same item?

        • @mattythecapybara:

One way I know how, is to look at the selling history for the item, or the seller. It shows that the same item being sold, how long ago and for how much. It's hidden under the advanced search settings.

        • Is $551 considered a good price for a phone from a reputable dealer?

        • @Ashman247:

Or get the url and put cache: in front to see the Google Cache. In this case, cache:www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dyson-V8-Absolute-Handstick-Vacuum-Cleaner-/182292215098

"It is a snapshot of the page as it appeared on 28 May 2017 10:49:49 GMT."

          Price:AU $898.00

This is for a random item I click in this thread, wasn't for the OP's product, so I edited this last line in.

        • @zujik:

          That's cool. Thanks for that.

  • +5

Ok I have a lens ready to purchase in my cart. If they jack the price ill contact the ACCC for false advertising. I guess they can just remove the listing, which is probably what will happen..

  • +12

I suggest deal posts bold the "typical non price jacking stores" each time we have these deals.
Or maybe easier, italic the ones that are known for it. (since one has existing evidence, the former is harder to judge)

  • +1

Why was this taken down temporarily?

    • The reason that was on this post was that eBay requested it? (Perhaps because it wasn't active yet?)

      • Yeah I saw that eBay had requested it, but wanted to know the reason why. The deal isn't active until 4PM.

    • +2

      Firstly get yourself a Delorean.

      • -7

Good idea, let me know when u find a deal on that as well

        • +1

I am not shopping for iPhone 12 or Galaxy S9 now, so I don't need to look out for a deal on Delorean :p
          Google is your friend.

        • @edfoo: should I try Jeanswest_Australia or wittnershoes?

        • @Baebs: Don't know. Google mate, Google.
