  Dont buy from Coles. Go to a local Indian market. $2 will get you a 2 dozen pack of pappadum. Same can be said for any Indian product.

    Have bought from Indian shop in the past, usually costs around 75c to $1 for a 100g pack and it is not maharajah's choice.

  Lijjat papads are the best/standard ones.

  Make sure you get the ones that have a square label, not ciruclar one.
