Twinkies are pretty strange, I wouldn't say they're particularly nice but they have a unique quality to them compared to products that look the same.
I just realised despite American movies referencing Twinkies regularly I've never actually tried one. Are they just a sponge cake with cream filling?
Think of the worst tasting sponge cake with filling and that will be a good approximation. Save your money.
