WatchAFL Global Pass 25% off Season Pass - Normally $189, Reduced to $141.75 with Coupon Code. Also Free Trial Sunday 14th May

TAKE25OFF

WatchAFL Global Pass has 25% off a 12-month subscription at the moment. WatchAFL pretty much gives streaming access to Fox Footy for anyone outside Australia, or anyone who have a valid geo-dodging service (ie. Getflix). You can watch in full screen on a tablet and cast / airplay to your tv, or can watch on a laptop and connect it to your TV. I'm in Germany and the quality is very good (for me).

Normal price is $189AUD, so should come down to $141.75. It does say on the website that this is for 12-months access (rather than the remainder of the season), so it should take you through to this time 12-months. Be aware that it will automatically roll over at full price for the next season if you don't cancel in advance. I can't see how long the 25% offer is running for, but I can update the post if someone finds it.
For anyone overseas, Fox do give pricing in your local currency based on geo-location (normal price as either $149USD, €149, £149), so it's worth registering using a VPN outside US/GB/EU to get the Australian price which works out the cheapest.

They are also offering a 1-day free trial this Sunday: https://www.watchafl.com.au/join/china. Good for a test to see if it works for you before signing up, or if it works with your geo-block option if you're based in Australia. Probably best to check the T&C's to make sure the account doesn't automatically roll over after the free trial (I can't follow through with a test order as I already have an account that I don't want to mess with).

Signed up last month to get HD content. Worked pretty well and much better than channel 7 potato vision. Can confirm that you can start the video and turn off your vpn or dns if it slows down your internet connection too much.

Also gives you like 5 different speed selections ranging from 500kbps through to 5.4mbps on HD if you dont have the best internet connection.

If it does turn out to be just the rest of this season (rather than 12 months) then it cheaper to just buy a month long pass for to get the rest of this season. 3 x 1 month passes ($99) will get you to approx round 21

Or if you are in selected countries in SE Asia, you can watch 5 games/weekend free, and free of ads. Check on your local service provider.

    • I spent a few years is East Asia. Watching footy on the Australia channel (back in the day) was one of the weekend highlights. An escape home for a few hours every weekend.

    • excellent I thought they lost broadcast rights.
Looks like HK should be easy

Can anyone recommend a decent VPN? I'm fed up with Foxtel prices as I only pay to watch HD footy.

    • I believe Getflix smart-dns works for this in Australia, but I haven't personally tried it. I got a "lifetime" account on Getflix for about $50.
Maybe sign up for the free trial on Sunday, and the get some trial accounts at VPN providers and see which works best?
