    606 Feedback @ 91%. I'd personally wouldn't go anywhere near a seller like this.

    comes from HK,
    grey import

  • Has the seller got an ABN, cos they certainly aren't a Power seller at 91% Positive Feedback?

  • Guys can take a look

    What about us girls? Discrimination

  • $1092 with Aust Warranty ex Officeworks https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/305826

      • ?

  • 7 negative feedback in the past month. How reliable do you think they are?

  • What are the chances:
    1. it turns up
    2. it's actually an S8
    3. it doesn't die on you within 3 months
    4. the seller assisting you with warranty

All the above is worth paying bit more for Aus stock.

    • and remember to multiply the chances together

  • It takes them ages to process an order…
Took them 10 days to process my order with a lot of back and forth messaging :)

At the end it arrived within two weeks of the order date from HK LOL

  • Serious question but what do you gain with such serious specs on an Android phone. What does it do that something half the price costs doesn't?

    • -1

its slower than a 1year old iphone, so its basically useless.

      • Ahh the iphone lovers dont you love them :)

      • faster for what, the speed you talk or can text …… ozbargain still seems the same speed on my new phone as it did on my old phone, and I can't seem to find better things to take pictures of that need more speed.

    • Faster, better screen, better cameras, IP68 rating, force touch, desktop experience.

If you don't need/value the bests specs a phone for half the price (e.g. grey import Samsung S7) will give almost the same experience.

Why do people buy new cars, or spend so much on a new cars? (a new mitisubishi mirage cost $12,250, if you only need it to get from A to B why buy anything else?)

      • safety features make people buy better cars or reliablity…. I have yet to find a phone that will help save me in a car crash or I would buy it.

Not much honestly. I upgraded to one of these from a $180 Xiaomi and there's a bit less stutter in the UI. I don't play games and don't really care about camera quality but I'm enjoying Samsung Pay, wireless charging and so on. It's less about the specs and more about features, build quality and so on.

      • yeah, I complained about my phone not having a finger print reader …. then was told it has 12 megapixel face camera and uses facial recognition … makes sense in case you are in climate where you wear gloves or are carrying things with the hand that is normally used for finger print readers . I'm all featured out …….. newer versions of android are interesting though.

      • How much does it cost to get the device capable of wireless charging? for the s8+ that is?

  • Good price, but wish it was AU stock with 2yr Samsung warranty.

    • Yeah me too. Missed the Woolworth's offer ($65/month)

      • +1

Is the typical Aussie bought one 2 yrs samsung? Woolies mentioned 30 days with woolies (if issues), then off to Samsung, so I assume it's 24 months for Samsung? Probably easier dealing with stuff with a mobile operator in person though (i remember vodaphone giving me 2 or 3 new phones as the first htc one kept dying on me).

Open4highway - you should've jumped on the last sale that ended yesterday (13th may) , albeit it's for the large plan.

        • I'm still reviewing all of my options. Currently using Xiaomi MI5S, it serves all of my purposes except for the design and build. S8 is such a gorgeous smartphone :(

        • @open4highway:

have heard a case here is like $58,69 in harvey norman for example. not sure about elsewhere, but accessories will cost a bomb :(

Where do you buy chinese phones with a reputable supplier in aus e.g. to get your xiaomi mi5S? Was wondering for future to try a xiaomi, huawei or even a oneplus and so forth (after this s8 plan runs out i guess).

        • @open4highway:

P.S. If you missed the $65/month woolies offer you can still take advantage of the current $15 off general WW mobile plans for the s8?
