120

Found another bike deal. This time for the Quick 5 commuter bike for $549 (RRP $849). Looks like the green one is only available in the small size.

But the red is available in the medium size:

Its a good bike. I test rode one before i bought my current commuter. For $549 this is a good deal. Its was $689 when i was looking!

      • Agreed - I think this is a pretty good bike for the price.

    • My recommendation would be to avoid a flat bar even if you're just commuting. Speaking from personal experience, they aren't any easier to ride and unless your commute is very short you will appreciate having the extra positions. Furthermore I find riding hoods to be more comfortable then a flat bar anyway.

      • After going through this dilemma myself I totally agree! I bought my commuter as is was doing 5km stints, and it is a pack horse, so panniers and all. Heavy as all hell, but it does the job!
Now that I am getting into cycling, I'm taking detours and now doing 15-20kms one way and wish I had drop bars. That being said only spending $550 on my bike, getting a second bike isn't too bad, as all my accessories can at least move across to the new bike!
