the hardest part of making sushi isn't the rolling… it's actually preparing and cooking the rice properly. always undercooked or overcooked :(
So true. Unless a person knows their rice cooker really well, a high quality Zoijirushi/Tiger/etc rice cooker is like mandatory.
it's the water to rice ratio …. one you get the sweet spot with your cooker stick with the brand of rice and how much water it wants ….. works every time ……. basic maths and chemisty (power, and how much rice rice to water).
It only takes a couple of goes to work out the correct ratio of water / rice.
Your rice cooker does the cooking for you, it even knows how long to cook for. — all you have to get right is ratios.
Well, it also helps that you don't have a piece of crap rice cooker from Kmart…
Seems like a good deal, and BPA-free, but, "innovative cutting lines guide your knife to create perfectly even slices"? Most of the $2 sushi plastic things on AliExpress have those cutting lines.
