In October 2016, the public voted and decided that the country's largest gathering of gingers and redheads should be held once again at Melbourne's Federation Square.
The festival will see redheads and ginger supporters unite, armed with banners and flags, to march the streets of Melbourne in celebration of their uniqueness. The Ginger Pride Rally will paint Melbourne red and ginger with free ginger beer, vigorous games of Ginger Beer Pong, and a kids' ginger activity zone. - via City of Melbourne

No, you don't! For one day we'll give you a free ginger pass. The catch? You have to BE at one with your inner ginger! We'll have plenty of temporary hair colour on the day, otherwise don your best ginger or red wig.
On their site it says if you register, you will get a free goodie bag. I'm guessing it's probably stuff from the main sponsor Buderim Ginger (marketing geniuses).
They better hope it's not sunny that day or hand out SPF50+ sunscreen if it is.
