great deal… they don't usually give any other bonus after 10% discount

  • Thats a better price than anyone, excluding the educational discount.

    • The base model 21.5" iMac RRP = $1599
      Education pricing = $1549
HN special pricing = $1439 + free trackpad

      Base model Macbook Pro 13"RRP = $1499
      Education pricing = $1399
HN Special pricing = $1349 + Free magic mouse

It's a HOT offer. I'm going in first thing tomorrow morning!

magic trackpad. wow that looks ridiculous! Rather the magic mouse. Would never replace a mouse with that, in saying that their mouses are horrible anyway.

Good deal on macs though in relative to other apple resellers. The day they give you 11 percent off without buying apple care on 'current apple hardware' is the day the world explodes.

    • It doesn't say you HAVE to buy Applecare.

Applecare saved me the other day when I had a question about my iPad though…

      • yeah I know that. :)

I'm just saying that usually to get any discounts on macs, they try and throw apple care down your throats. yeah apple care has its place and I'm not saying its a bad thing either except the world exploding :P

    • I prefer the trackpad on the macbook pro to a mouse. Very much looking forward to using trackpad on desktop computer as well.

Awesome deal, if only I could take advantage of it. :\

    • Yes you can, most retailers price match!

I can't see JBHifi here in Darwin price matching a random Harvey Norman sale across the other side of the country.

        • Why don't you try JB's?

Or call the store and see if they can ship the goods to you?

  • Where did you find this sale (ie. in the newspaper, online, email)

    mmmm black skivvy

  • damn I wish this was good for somewhere in Brisbane, would accelerate my MacBook Pro 15" purchase!

  • Found the ad in my local newspaper.

Hmmm You can call them to ask if they can ship the goods to you.

  • damm…just bought the imac from jbhifi last weekend :[

  • is this just this HN? or all HN? i would definately buy this if it was in my area.

  • I bought a MacBook Pro 15" with the free Magic Mouse for 10% off last time this offer was up at HN Domayne Auburn in late June.
If it's anything like the last offer, they'll let you swap that free Magic Mouse for anything else of equivalent value, or $99 off whatever you want as long as it's an Apple product, including AppleCare. Just in case a Magic Mouse isn't your thing.

  • Managed to get JB Hi-Fi Chatswood to pricematch - today!

    i7 15" MBP with high-res anti-glare screen with 7200RPM HDD and a DisplayPort->DVI adaptor plus free MagicMouse for $2815!

    • Sounds realllllllyyyyyyyy CHEAP!!!

  • I'd sell that trackpad for $70 on eBay, it's next to useless and you end up bringing the price down of what you bought.

  • I'm a student, so does that mean 20% discount? I did want a customised Macbook Pro 17" (matte screen) would they do this to order do you think?

  • +1

    17" i5 MBP RRP$2899

    Apple store online:
    EDU$2599
    Co-Op EDU$2546

    VS

    Domayne 10% off:
    $2609

Conclusion, 13" MBP, its cheaper to go Domayne, 17" MBP cheaper to buy with educational discount(EDU) pricing.
If you're a student with a Co-Op card, even better discounts.
15" MBP, can't be bothered to figure it out.

    Co-Op Members Discount:

    • I've been a coop member for years, and never knew their prices were slightly cheaper than even the normal education discount. Thank you!

      • NP.

I got the info from starting a thread on OCAU section.
        Good karma.

BTW just to recap, the 10% Domayne deal CAN BE CHEAPER. Check for yourself for the things you want.

        Student EDU discount is cheap.
But CO-OP MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNT IS CHEAPER. (2% extra discount on top of the EDU).
They never ask for your membership number.

  • Figures. The one day in all of eternity that I buy a Mac is the day I didn't check OzBargain.
Oh well, I got the free printer deal. Small consolation.

    • Such is life isn't it.

But think of it this way, next time you'll know where to look first and won't ever be gutted again!
