Pampers cruiser Bulk box 88 - 116 nappies on sale at Coles (Auburn, NSW) for $24.99

50

Went to Coles in Auburn to grab a few boxes of the Pampers Cruiser nappies which were advertised in this weeks Coles catalogue for $30. When I got there I found that they were actually on sale for $24.99, so that's a 50% saving off the normal price of these nappies.
I'm not sure of this is all Coles stores or just Auburn though - but thought these nappies were a bargain as they are normally more expensive than Huggies nappies.

For those venturing to Auburn Coles, I found that the nappies were located in two different sections - there were only the Size 5 (12kg plus) nappies in the aisle where all nappies are kept, then a few aisles down they had more boxes of Pampers nappies there in size 3 (7 to 13 kg), 4 (10 to 17kg) and size 5.

I must say I find Pampers Cruisers to be the worst nappies I've ever put on my daughter. For heavy wetters, they are terrible for overnight as they end up leaking through the cover. I have done several nappy trials with different survey companies since my daughter was born 15 months ago and ultimately I don't think you can go past Huggies. That said however, Aldi's nappies are of a pretty good quality too!

Many people will differ from my views, but I think I find Aldi's Mamia Nappies best.
Try them once and you will know the difference.

  • I've tried Huggies. Snugglers, Sorbies and Aldi Mammia. Of the ones I've tried Huggies was the best, followed closely by Snugglers. Aldi ones hold in moisture well, but not so great on my son for number 2s- it seeped out through the legs unlike Huggies and Snugglers. Aldi nappies also do not do a great job of masking smells. Sorbies were ok, but found the nappies much thicker than the others I tried.
Have yet to try Pampers but purchased them on the recommendation of my sister in-law who said they were great. I still think that the $24.99 is a great price for the bulk box of nappies though and that's why I listed it here.

    • Why would you want a nappy that masks the smell well? As soon as they do number 2's you want to know about it so you can change them. We have used the Aldi ones on both my daughter and son and they work great during the day and not too bad at night but still prefer huggies for full overnight protection. BTW we have also found the 'boy' huggies better at night even on my daughter as they seemed to be made just a bit better than the 'girl' ones for heavy wetters (which are typically boys)

      • Good point about masking smells - I should clarify that I would like to be informed of a number 2 so I can change bub, but not necessary for the whole room/store to be made aware.
With Aldi the odour was left in bubs pants when they were removed for a good few minutes and this generally didnt happen with Huggies or Snugglers.
I found Aldi nappies great for holding in moisture though - I used Aldi quite a few times for overnight and they did the job.
