Awesome for your next Arduino project!

  • How long is it?

    • 980mm long, from the look of it.

    • That's what she said.

  • Been looking for a cheap set cheers op

  • 2.5metres is the length

Very cheap but idk if I can trust this.

  • These look very flimsy. I know they're cheap, but not sure if they're worth it. Would rather get a 400 amp set minimum.

  • 38 sold in one hour
    but only 6 votes??

    • You think the only people who buy things from eBay are OzBargainers?

      • It has had 185 clicks so I'd say a lot of those sales are from here

i had it in my watch list for a while, when i posted it 2 had been sold (1 was me) now 47 in an hour.

      • Actually I've checked the eBay link within the first three minutes after this was posted they sold only two (and nothing in the last 24 hours at the time). So yeah, this post has been responsible for all those purchases. Now it's 47 and still counting, though I ain't buying one myself. Looks too cheap and useless to me, no offense OP.

  • Definitely going to be a lot of canceled orders. It will cost them more to post this.

    • They're selling about 100 units, as the percentage suggests on the eBay link, so I don't think they'll cancel any orders.

Wouldnt bother with these tbh… you'll find out when you actually have to use one.

  • Just what I've been keeping my eye out for, ty…. Cheap flimsy crap with a tiny conductor no doubt, but better than nothing… (I'll throw them in my camper just in case I ever need to jump it from the house battery, or jump start the motorbike)

Excellent quality stuff. I find that the cable is quite supple, yet the durable. The surge protect is a good bonus.
Overall, quite good for beating children with.

    • did you get your one from
      http://www.community.nsw.gov.au/?

    • Overall, quite good for beating children with.

You're using it wrong, the clips are for the nipples and then connect the other side to an electrical source, preferably 240v.

  • Clicked link, said there was stock. Then clicked on Cashrewards link, reloaded page, 'Out of Stock'
    Sigh.

  • Antique .. I bought the identical item 30 years ago!! Must have started the car 30 times + in those 30 years .. :-) .. !!

If you have a thin cable it's best to charge the dead battery 10-15 minutes with your donor car if a battery charger is not available. Then proceed to jump start. This way there will be less voltage drop and less current demand on the cheap thin cable.

The starter motor will use the reserve power from the local battery and receive the rest of the current from the donor car. Works for me many times. I saved many cars small to V8s with my tiny 1.8L hero.

  • Price has gone upto $15.72, price error?
