    Not surprising since these are actually just cardboard inside, but for many uses 13kg is more than enough.

      Well, given your scope, the better bargain would be to buy a 1000L plastic water container for about the same money. They'd hold ~74 bags of rice.

  I bought the larger one last week - despite their low capacity rating they are extraordinarily heavy when flat packed. I think both boxes weigh almost 50kg.
