Full Boar 65L 550W Wet Dry Dust Extractor Vacuum $99 @ Bunnings

170

Was $249 according to Pricehipster

The Full Boar Dust Extractor system makes a clean job of heavy work. Dust and chips are easily vacuumed into the debris bag while the air is being exhausted through the top filter bag.

The long-lasting induction motor provides suction and quiet running. Includes integrated power outlet with automatic start mechanism, the moment you switch on the connected electric tool the dust extractor switches on as well.

When the connected electric tool is switched off, the FBT-6000 will continue to run for a while in order to ensure that all the particles in the hose are sucked out.

The sturdy foot with debris bag support ensures good stability. Moving the vacuum extraction system to any position is easy thanks to the handle and chassis. The debris bag has a quick fastener and can be replaced easily.

  • 550W(3/4HP) induction motor
  • 1850W Automatic power outlet
  • 65L collection bag
  • 100mm x 2.5m suction hose
  • 677cfm suction power

    cheaper than my 1hp carbatec

    • And has a higher cfm than the carbatec.

  • Thanks, I've been planning on getting one of these for a while.

FWIW, most wood working sites would suggest this actually isn't powerful enough for good dust collection (most recommend a minimum of 1000 cfm, and that's even after it gets less efficient / compensating for manufacturer over-estimation), however to get a good one is also a lot more expensive. I expect something like this would be good enough to at least avoid a dust filled garage.

Most wood working sites also claim you can't build anything ever unless you have an entire garage filled with festool.

    • I use a Carbatec 2hp and have solid tubing running to three locations around my garage (attached to the roof) with gates and soft tubing down to the tools. I find that with the 2HP model it's perfect with one gate open, passable with two, pretty weak with all three. The extractor listed in this deal is probably fine for a single tool, but probably not going to be useful for a couple of inputs at once.

      • I have it set up with gates, and it works fine one at a time for me. I only ever use one tool at a time, and I'm happy to take 2 seconds to turn the gate to the next tool if required. For $100, this is a pretty good starting point for sure.

      • At this price, could you just buy two of I've isn't enough?

        Asking for a friend.

They're fairly large items. You'd want to have a lot of space to have more than one around. There's nothing stopping you running multiple extractors on different tools though.

        • Sorry, swype text typo…

          'two if* one* isn't enough?'

Dust collections too inefficient. I find its better to blow everything straight out the door, and onto my neighbours side of the fence

  • Shit. That's cheap as chips.

Looks like my trusty bucket with a cyclone on it is going out in the next hard rubbish.

    • that's what I have at the moment hooked on 1hp carbatec dust extractor. it does the job

      • Do you have one of the fullsize standing ones, or one of the little underbench units they make?

        • I have 1hp under the bench (or can hang on wall). I would have gone with free standing one but I did not have enough space for that.

          it works ok.

    • Did you make the bucket cyclone or buy it? Been looking for one for a while.

I have bought cheap cyclone plastic adapter from eBay.

Handy item to save your lungs from dust and keeping the shed clean. Manual quotes noise level 104db SO DONT FORGET YOUR HEARING PROTECTION and your neighbours.

    • Manual quotes noise level 104db SO DONT FORGET YOUR HEARING PROTECTION

      WHAT?

      and your neighbours.

Unless your neighbours are within a few metres not really a problem.

    • I'm not sure why they have labeled it 104db. I just bought one and it is no where near 104db… Sound as loud as my vacuum cleaner.

      • Yep, that's what I found too; whatever tool I'm using it with makes much more noise than the dust collector.

  • This is a really good price! I paid double this.

Good enough power for a dust extraction system in the shed…. just place some pvc pipe to strategic areas and away you go! Add a couple of ports to connect a vacuum hose to, along with a floor waste to suck up swept up saw dust, and its works a treat. Just have some gates installed to direct the suction to where you want it.

Can't say how good this thing is for actually use as a traditional vacuum, but as a workshop vac/dust extraction for saws etc it works great.

Just picked up the display model at Bunnings Mile End SA for $80

  • There is one left at Oxley in QLD after I took the other one. Box is knocked about but appears intact. Date on them is 2015 and they have the usual layer of Bunnings dust.

Located next to the plate compactor on the bottom shelf.

Looks like they're clearing out at least part of the Full Boar (Ozito) range.

  • I have one of these, the hose it shit. I upgraded it by putting caulk between the two plastic half's it really increases the suction

    • I was thinking I'd need to do the same; I was a little underwhelmed with the suction coming from the end, but seemed to be more of an issue with the hose rather than the motor's capability.

      • The bag on mine was a little limp before the mod

  • Got the last one for $75 … very happy :)

    • Wow, how did you get it for $75?

      • Wow, how did you get it for $75?

Probably like the person who picked up the display model for $80.

With Powerpass I paid $94.05 for a new one.

  • I now feel ripped off for paying $99…………

  • I got one last night from the Mt Gravatt store in Brisbane. I think it was the last one but they might still be available at other stores.

I saw it on Monday night when I made a last minute trip so I could work on a project over ANZACS but didn't want it then. I thought about few a few days and told myself if it was still there on Wednesday then it's fate and I had to buy it.

  • How do you stop the fine dust going everywhere from the flimsy cloth bag? Anyone add a pre filter product?
