      Cheers mate, Typo!

This is like 10 year old tech isn't it?

  • If it was an i7 sure, but c'mon.

    $200 for core 2 duo?

Hmm maybe i can sell mine for $100

  • Dont know how this is a deal

  • +9

i would expect i5 and 8gb at that price.

same specs available for $100 on ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Optiplex-780USFF-Core-2-Duo-…
(even $95 if you use a groupon voucher!)

    • I picked up a HP Compaq 8300 Elite Intel i5-3570 for $200 from eBay 9 months ago for my in-laws and they love it (especially with the SSD I installed). I wouldn't touch a Core 2 Duo these days, but 2nd/3rd gen iSeries CPUs are still plenty for most users.

    Hi Guys,

Keep in mind the eBay offerings come with 30 Day Warranty and charge for freight.

Our PCs come with 1 YEAR WARRANTY and Freight is included.

    • $100 extra is not worth a 1 year warranty

        Hi,

Im not one to pick on things, but when you factor in the freight costing, it is actually around the $50 mark.

1 Year Warranty = Piece of Mind.

        • if i buy a $100 computer, i don't expect it last more than 3 months anyway.
          your point is not valid.
this computer will be slow in most applications apart from basic web, solitaire and emails.

          Piece of Mind.

          How many do we get?

Also, this rep might set a record for fastest performance-based ban

Postage was free and compared to your price I could buy another as warranty

    • +1

      But your pc is crap.

    • 1 year warranty to give it enough time to boot once.

    Ozbargainers… be savage sometimes. (>_<)

    • an extra 4gb of ram = $79.99

    You what?????

    • if you want an actual deal they ask for a kidney

My smartphone is more powerful this this brick.

  • What a joke!

You can get an Optiplex 9010 with i5, usb3, 8GB etc for only a little more.

    e.g. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Optiplex-9010-Core-i5-3470-3…

    Why buy an ancient 780?

  • +1

    Cheaper on eBay

And god knows how much it would cost to freight the tower back for a warranty repair, as well as the headache involved, so the 1yr warranty is pointless

  • Is Core2Duo a typo and it should actually read Core i7?

I bought a refurb Toshiba Portege Core i5 with 8Gb RAM for $200 late last year.

  • +5

CHANGE YOUR PRICE TO $95 PLUS WARRANTY AND WE MIGHT CONSIDER THIS TO BE AN OKAY DEAL.

OR WE WILL TRY TO GET YOUR STORE BANNED BECAUSE OF THE ATTEMPT TO USE THIS WEBSITE FOR YOUR OWN ADVERTISEMENT AS WELL AS WASTING OUR TIME.

harsh, but not wrong. Though i feel the caps is a bit much (@_@)

      • We need to keep here a site of bargaining but not advertising.

Especially when you see the comment from @m9, you will know the importance of making sure any new-comer sales reps are aware of the rule.

Is this a late April fools joke?

I bought 2 refurbs from Graysonline 4 years ago to be used as throwaway Knoppix PCs for a project for less than $50 bucks each.

    mods should delete this

  • This would be overpriced if they moved the decimal point to the left. Twice.

  • How about $88 delivered?

These tiny USFF boxes are cute.
