$111 is a bargain for a toaster or kettle? Wtf?

    • +4

But didn't you see? It has these amazing features not available on the $10 Kmart kettle!!

      Key Features

      Water Level Capacity
Gives clear visibility of how much water is in the kettle.

      SureGrip™ Handle
Improves comfort when pouring, and looks sleek.

      Flip Top Lid
Convenient flip top lid makes the kettle easy to fill.

      1.7L Capacity
Perfect when entertaining friends and family.

Oh wait, yep, even the cheapest kettle has those features.

What Kmart doesn't tell you is that their cheap kettles only have 1.69L capacity!

    • i don't think toasters or kettle are worth over $100 but compared to the $200-$500 models i've seen around it possibly is a bargain. :/

    • Kmart kettles are pretty horrible. Had the white clear glass one with the temp control. it died just before 12 month warranty was finished, so got a full refund. It felt cheap, wasn't very quiet and steam could escape and burn your hand. Spend around $100 for kettle and it would be more premium materials, quieter, maybe quicker to boil and hopefully last a bit longer, and it should look nicer in the kitchen. They are a simple device but some people like a bit of style and quality.

      • Just a gentle reminder that your live on OzBargain

      • It literally just boils water. That's it.

I've never had a kettle burn my hand when steam escapes, because usually I wait till it's boiled before touching it :-P

My current Sunbeam kettle only cost me about $20 and has lasted over 5 years. There are some kitchen appliances that spending more money on than usual is well worth it, a kettle and a toaster aren't one of those things. Especially not with the price they're asking for.

        • I was with you until you said toaster… I really hate crappy cheap toasters. Burns one side whilst leaving the other completely white.

Saying that though - $139 is a lot for a toaster. I'm talking more the sub-$100 mark. :)

  • Fancy looking toaster that one!

  • I presume the bread toasts in a DVD slot?

    (Yes, I did scroll down).

  • Any reviews on the mixer?? 5 year manufacturer warranty sounds nice at least… But if it's a massive POS, well. :(

  • WTF a kettle and toaster over $100. y'all are mad

    Dell XPS thumbnail clickbait.

  • Avoid the Kmix Kettle.
The kettle leaks at bottom after just over a year. Handle is all plastic and can cone off. Be careful not to get scalded.
bad reviews including one from myself. Wrote to DFT as potentail unsafe.
