Good prices. I thought I got a bargain when I got my mio velo for $110, and it's $70 here!

  • Shame no Mio Slice. Fuse is great accuracy wise but doesn't have constant hrm and sleep tracking requires activation/deactivation.

    • I found that I can only wear the Fuse for short periods of time. My skin, under the Fuse sensors, seems to peel after full-day use.

      • I doubt it's the sensors - you'll find it with most silicon wristbands - it's not removing them after a full day's use. The salt in your sweat starts to rub and creates a rash. It gets trapped under the band and has no way of being rinsed away. Taking the fuse off for a shower or a few hours a day helps immensely (at least does for me when I wear it). I had the same problem with my original pebble and thought it was an allergy to the band. Look it up and you'll find many people have the same issue and blame their particular bands.

        • Oh, I was thinking it was more the edges of the sensors rather than a reaction to their emissions. I don't get the peeling for the remainder of the length of the band, but the remainder of the band has ventilation holes. Your analysis makes sense though! :)

For anyone interested, we use a Mio Alpha 2 to monitor our 6yr old at night as she has night seizures and is at risk of SUDEP.
This is linked with a spare Samsung Tab4 running an android app called EPSYDET found on the play store to monitor her heart rate. This saves us having to check her every hour during the night. We have only been using it for a week so far. Its very thick on her wrist but the smaller models the battery only last 6 to 7 hours with continuous monitoring, the Alpha 2 is lasting 3 nights before needing to be recharged. If you look up the current watch epilepsy monitors on the market, eg Brio, Pulseguard, EPSYDET all sell and use the Mio watches.
