  • Great machine, better than ALDI's, but the coffee is SHIT, no other words for it

    • +1

      better than coles brand capsules,

  • Plus the pods are on special at Coles presently.

  • This is a good machine, especially for $13.50+- delivered on top of the $50 odd worth of coffee you have to buy to get this price.

I have both this ( from similar Woolies deal past 3 years ago ) and a long time much liked Aldi machine ( over 4 years now ), and have used both consistently over the years. They both provide a quick convenient small shot of coffee that varies in taste for both brands but for the low price
of the Aldi capsules, and also the Vittoria capsules ( when on sale half price ) your drinking reasonable tasting coffee depending on the flavour
you choose and like. Definataly not the best, heck non of the capsule machines make top quality coffee, for that you need to get yourself a good
bur grinder and machine and make it nicely with some love. Or go to a good cafe.

Because I worked around food and wine as well as coffee for a long time, I started off using a home coffee making machine and I still use that

when I feel like it for a much better coffee than All Capsule Machines, don't like to brag but even better than most cafe's lol.

    • Out of interest, which of the Vittoria flavours do you find the best (I like Mountain Grown)?

      • I like the Italian and Mountain Grown. When they started of the early versios/blends/packaging of their Chico Doro range, much cheaper too. Now they are very low quality and I stay away, even the standard Vittoria ia meh for me.

  • $23.58 + delivery ($5.50 metro) @ Staples via price-match :)

(though not all the same capsule varieties)

  • Most of the supermarkets have deals like this all the time, buy 5 packs of pods get a free Capino coffee machine. I've got two of them from those past deals one is a back up still in it's box and the first one I've been using daily for a good 12 months now. The machines do over time start to lose their 'bite' in being able to adequately pierce the pods but you work out ways around it.

I usually give the pod a little bit of a massage before putting it in and go nuts with the bar/lever thing moving it up and down until finally banging it closed. I used to get leakage from the pods initially but you work out which flavour pods aren't as prone to leaking, the Mountain Grown pods rarely ever leak for me where as the Espresso ones almost always do.

All up for a cheap (practically free) coffee pod machine I've been pretty happy with the service I've got out of mine but judging by my first one which is getting close to the end don't expect to get years worth of use out of them.

  • Woolies had this deal last week. 6 of these packets of pods for $50 & you get the machine for free.

Taste is subjective but obviously pod machines aren't as good as the real deal but these pods are probably best of a bad bunch.
