Blower style cards tend to run slightly hotter due to the nature of only having one fan. They also vent heat through the back of the card, which makes them usually better for small form factor builds or builds where airflow is restricted.
In terms of performance, the difference will be minimal but be aware that due to the higher temps for the blower card, it may reach thermal throttling sooner.
IMO unless you need the blower fan, it'd be better to get one with dual/tri fans.
Thanks for that, I ended up just purchasing an SC model from Amazon, $704 delievered, which I think is ok for the slightly higher clock speeds! Exciting times

This might be the time to bite the bullet, but there are somewhat similarly priced EVGA cards on Amazon that are the fan style, but I am not sure what exactly this means for heat/performance…
