Hey guys, anyone wanting these soon is out of luck. Due to the number of orders plus Brisbane today being all but shut down they don't foresee these being processed and ready for shipping until next Wednesday. Anyone in Brisbane who wants to organise a pickup has that option, but it would probably be Thursday next week. The poor girl on the Videopro main number is getting absolutely hammered with calls over these headphones, so ask for Emily in the online dpt if you want to go down this path.

That's bullshit, you didn't get the item you paid for thus it is their prerogative to rectify that. Regardless of what some storeman thinks, having the wrong colour is a big deal to some people, especially on a set of phones worth $500

It works great in the cabin of an aeroplane, therefore it will also work in the cabin of a train.
@maxdba I disagree, it's good at cancelling out droning on a plane because it's a constant droning hum that's very loud and masks a lot of other sounds like speech etc. On a train you will still hear people talking, beeping of the doors, doors slamming shut etc etc.
They are great for train commuting….I've been using Bose ANC's for about 5 year on the train. The active cancellation doest reduce the sound of voices, but it makes a hell of a difference to eliminate the other ambient white noise (eg air conditioning), it's hard to travel on a train without them now.
Voices are the main problem on trains though lol
In-ear earphones do a better job and sealing out that sort of sound I find. Get some comply tips for comfort. I have the QC35s and in my opinion, they're good for flights and that's about it. The SQ is very average.
Indeed, but sadly there is no escaping that, even on long haul flights.
Although, for long haul flights, I use foam ear plugs, then put the Bose over the top. Bliss.

Used mine first time on the train today. Air con and train's electric motor/wheels noise completely gone. Voices further down the car were also gone. Could hear a childs voice nearby and also a lady talking next to me, but it's as if you've plugged something into your ears, it's muffled. Can still hear the doors closing "ding" And the next station announcement, but it's definitely not as loud. If I had the volume up more I wouldn't have heard that either.
Wow, looks like they're really trying to clear them out before people cotton on that they've nerfed the ANC!

As long as no one updates the firmware everything will be fine.
The main issue is how will Bose fix the issue. In their forum Bose moderator admitted "locking" some threads (but has since unlocked them).
They have made extensive testing to some units that were returned to them and found nothing wrong with them. We'll have to wait and see what the consensus is.
Mine is on 1.0.6 but was manufactured in Feb 2017. Apparently anything manufactured after Nov 2016 has the nerfed ANC even without updating…

This will go down to ~ $299 as Bose is making a newer hardware revision to fix the ANC bug which cannot be all done via firmware. Remember this is 1st set of Bluetooth 4.x headphones from Bose, so there's bound to be issues. I am sure there are 100,000s or more sitting in Australia to be cleared in coming weeks. Buy with Credit Card price protection if you can.

@phokati: Heard that once it's on 1.2.9, the effects can't be reversed even if you downgrade the firmware back to 1.0.6. I might take it in to Bose if it really comes with 1.2.9.

Did you get any notification ahead of the delivery, like order status in ebay changing?
Well that was actually what was weird, I didn't get a notice until it was ready to be delivered a day before into my parcel locker. No dispatch emails etc etc and did not line up at all in the Ebay delivery estimates.
Maybe an hour or two after the deal was posted so relatively early.
I sent an ebay request for update and got a pretty prompt response just now

Ordered 29th Mar and just received an SMS notice from Auspost saying that mine will be delivered tomorrow on 10th Apr. Similar to Chickhen, my ebay order was not updated with to reflect that it had been shipped nor did i receive an email from VP. Looks like VP has been focused on getting the headphones sent out instead of updating order statuses. Suits me if the outcome's in the interest of the customer getting the item sooner. Thanks guys.

Got mine this morning in Melb, ordered on the 30th afternoon. Running firmware 1.0.6, Manufacture date of 2017-02-21. I get the cabin pressure feeling in my ears when they're turned on, but I don't have another set of QC35s or QC25s to compare with. ANC definitely works on low frequency noises, but it doesn't cut out stuff like BGM radio. Not sure what people expect, ANC generally doesn't work on anything higher than 1000 Hz. Keeping an eye on the official Bose QC35 forum thread though, and haven't updated the firmware. You can check your mfg date and firmware by installing the Bose Connect app, and turning off Wi-Fi and data to make sure it doesn't try to update your firmware behind your back.
May I ask how long your auspost tracking advised it was in transit for? Mine was picked up on Monday and have not seen it move yet? Advising still in Eagle Farm.

Received mine today. They are not charging. I've connected them to the wall charger and lights aren't turning on - not receiving any response. What is going on? Are these fake? Has anyone else come across a similar problem?
so have looked into this further. They're playing music when connected via AUX, but bluetooth isn't functioning. lights won't flash to indicate charging or power on either

Seems there was a problem in an earlier firmware selecting the wrong Bluetooth profile but all other aspects remain unchanged.
Bose are offering a refund if you feel otherwise.
