  • I'm using this monitor right now, from MSY flash sale.
Pretty Good, game play 70 frame per second

Had to look it up, $299 is an amazing price.

this post just makes me dissapointed about missing out on the MSY deal…

  • i wish the stand was height adjustable

    • buy a stand, or place yellow pages underneath

  • How does 1080p look on such a big screen?

    • +3

Shit if you use it for purposes other than gaming.

considering most 34" UltraWide for a brand name are well over $800.

Yes of course because this (I'm assuming) is 60Hz and lacks adaptive refresh as well as being 2560x1080 IPS which is very low for desktop use but nowhere near as much of an issue in games provided you can MSAA.

Other IPS are 3440x1440. AMVA 2560x1080 offers a substantial increase in visual quality over IPS.

34" at 1080p? Unless purely for gaming, no thanks.

  • (GTG) 5ms

does 'game mode' actually reduce this response time to a lower figure?

  • Available slightly cheaper at Dick Smith eBay, $535.80 shipped - local stock with CAU5 code.

the monitor is a really important part of a gaming pc now. don't waste your money on anything less than 144hz.

Hey thanks for the elitist PC master race hot tip. For the vast majority of people, a 144hz monitor is a waste of money.

      • To say a 144hz monitor is a waste of money for the "vast majority" strikes me as odd. Have you used a 144hz monitor? The smoothness is amazing, I don't think I could go back to 60hz/75hz nowadays. Even if you don't play twitchy FPS games a lot, it's more than worth it in my opinion.

      • Sorry for trying to help with my elitist views, you go buy your 60hz monitor and keep living in denial.

Once upon a time monitors didn't really matter to a gaming setup, they were all pretty much the same except for the ms. Now with 144hz and the new 240hz they are a very important part of PC gaming.

  • Most 34' ultrawides that are 800+ are much higher resolution

  • $483.95 + shipping at warehouse1 for anyone interested that has the game already or doesn't want it.
