I don't think OW carry the Toshi drives dude, could be pushing it uphill with sharp stick there!
I wouldn't quibble over $5.40 in this case to be honest! ;)
Is this breakable to be able to be used in a normal laptop bay ie 2.5" sata
And is it 12.5mm high, or the normal standard 9mm?
EDIT: looks like its 12.5mm
Pretty good bargain. An internal 750 GB 2.5 inch drive would already cost over $100, for an external to be cheaper than an internal drive is rare.
I wonder what HDD is inside.
Toshiba own brand of course. I didn't know Toshiba is back into the storage market - haven't see their drives in notebooks for a while.

Actually this isn't always the case, not even 100% sure if it is here.
But it does look like its still 12.5mm thick. They must be changing over to 9mm soon, the 640GB drives already have.
This might be wildly optimistic, but you might just be lucky enough to score one of these:

But yeah, dollars to donuts it'll more than likely be:

Toshiba have made hdd's for a while and for other things besides laptops, the ipod hdd for example

i am thinking this may not be the standard sata connector, if it is i want one
Only store in Victoria in is SHEPPARTON !
Is the store in QLD?
they sponsor the Brisbane broncos, they are mainly based in QLD, with only one store in most other states
Just FYI you can get the WD Passport 2.5" 750GB SE for $129 at Officeworks. This is still cheaper, of course :)
OW also have a Seagate freeagent 880GB 2.5" drive for $126. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/28345. Again its a 12mm drive so not really swappable.
I guess the information about the size of 750gb & 880gb from Seagate is wrong. The correct size should be 21mm=0.83 in instead of 12.5mm=0.83 inch. 1 millimeter = 0.0393700787 inches. 12.5mm or 0.49 inch is actually the size of 500gb or 640gb, so i think they just put up the wrong size.
if this is not down breakable or not 9.5mm, does anyone know of any other external 750gb drives that can be taken apart and used for a ps3??? cheapest internal hdd online i can get is $145 + shipping.
wish one of these online shops would put a 750gb drive that can be used for ps3 on sale. they would be very popular….
thanx.
Nice spot - thanks.
My mate who use to work at Dick Smith bought some from his workplace for people; the TOSHIBA ended up dying =.=' it must be crap quality of something….
Beware that WoW sight and sound does everything they can to avoid giving refunds - I had to fight long and hard to get my laptop refunded when it was DoA (took legal threat after going through department of fairtrading).
If you can, pricematch somewhere else with decent service.
I would get the Seagate 880GB@OW (work out to be same $/GB after added the postage). But you then get a 5yr warranty on this + the lucky number :)
The Seagate case is ugly though, but that's just my opinion.
Sold out.
They're still available in some stores if you live near one.
Guys we still have stock in Darwin if anyone is keen.
Cheers
9$ postage to SA isn't too bad, might have to see if OW can pricematch it for $102.60
