• According to TripAdvisor, theres plenty to do in Manilla for your long stopovers
• The Lonely Planet write up on Manila is HERE
• Thanks to dkinnoch, you can also save 20% with hotel bookings here until Midnight 25/3
• There are $0 Visa fees entering both Philippines and Canada (although you will need to register for an 'eTA' before entering Canada)
• Weather temps average about 25-32degrees each day in Manila in October and around 11-15degrees in Toronto

ETA's for Canada are CAD 7, approx. AUD 7 currently
Visa free entry (no entry fee) for Phillipines for 21 days.

That is BS regards 21 days. If you have no clue you shouldn't mislead people.

Philippines entry is for 30 days for free. They do not count the day you arrived in that 30, unlike Thailand.

Have stayed 30 days in the Philippines on at least a dozen occasions so unlike others, I know what I am talking about in this regard.

The Philippines allows entry for tourism and business purposes without a visa for visits of less than 30 days

It used to be 21 days, didn't fact check it so my bad.
Don't take it so personally. Chill!

New A333s or the clapped out old 744s serving Australian routes now?

    • DC-7

    • Mix of A330 and older A340. New A350's on order. I read there's a lack of ife (no seatback screens!!) for long haul flights.

      • LMAO, no in seat IFE? SQ had that on their 777s in the late 90s FFS.

  • Ridiculously cheap with a ridiculous layover..Anyone know when this expires?

    • Likely when the aircraft/s are fully booked. IMO I'd say mid week, but could be earlier.
