PC Tools - Spyware Doctor or iAntiVirus - 1 Year Free to NAB Customers

110

Found this one when logging out of my NAB online banking, an ad came up whereby you can get PC Tools Spyware Doctor or iAntiVirus free for one year, you can also get 33% off Spyware Doctor WITH Antivirus or the Internet Security suite and 50% off Zonealarm Extreme Security.

Your required to register, they send you an email with the download info and reg key.

Just downloaded and installed myself, all worked a charm.

  • +ve vote from me.. anyway, If im already using McAfee, does this offer has any use to my computer?

  • AVG is one year free aswell and probably better than Mcafee, Zonealarm used to be good.

Cutting through all the crap this is the banks way of making a commision ie 2nd year renewal fee goes to your bank for advertising this product. Ingenious way of marketing really.

Its free AV but only for people with online NAB accounts, not sure this is exactly a bargain that most can get

  • Its actually free av for ppl with a mac. PC only get a spyware program. The antivirus for pc is 33% off.

    • How many viruses are there for Macs??? There software doesn't need to do much…

  • +1

Fully functional version of iAntiVirus is free any way: http://www.iantivirus.com/

There is no difference to the free and registered version of iAntiVirus. As of now, iAntiVirus only detects 116 threats so its usefulness is questionable (http://www.iantivirus.com/threats/).

For a freebie it ain't bad but I hate how PC Tools attempt to get people to pay for something that they offer for free any way.

There is a free version of Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus available from the Google pack which is capable of a free scan and remove detected infections: http://pack.google.com/?hl=en

  • PCTools for free as advertised previously

    http://www.westpac.com.au/security/how-to-protect-yourself/f… (free for westpac customers)

  • I'd used PC Tools security products for a year and I found them to be resource-hogging. I now use IObit Security 360 Pro which is a lot better resource-wise.

  • trusty ol avira for me

  • I guess I should take a look at this. I've been meaning to get some anti-virus for a while now and I'm already a NAB customer.
