With London emptied of men now fighting at the Front, Catrin Cole lands herself a job writing copy for propaganda films that need "a woman’s touch". Her natural flair quickly gets her noticed by dashing movie producer Buckley whose path would never have crossed hers in peacetime.

    Only option for vic is the Astor theatre. Never again!

    Parking is impossible and the theatre is so old and musty I fell sick with pneumonia shortly after.

        As the Crevis says, the Astor is one of the nicest theatres in Victoria… they show a lot of classics. It has a great vibe, feels like an old school theatre, and I believe they've opened a new restaurant / bar / snack place attached to it as well.

    Am going tonight at the Astor. I hope they still have the same choc tops they used to be great. The secret with the Astor is you don't try to drive there. You take the train to Windsor Station. However, there used to be a decent parking lot opposite the station - but it has been a while.

        Amen brother/sister on that. It is like Punt Road with morons who don't know how to cross the road safely. I would normally go the back way, but the Grand Prix causes havoc. We live in Fitzroy so most of our car travels begin with "well, I wouldn't start from here".

        Yup, can agree with you on that. They weren't as good as I remembered them being and the cone was stale. The film was pretty good, but I thought it was quite old fashioned in the telling. Some genuine laugh out loud moments though.
