You just got pranked by Dick.
Hero5 Black is $439.96 C&C @ Teds or $440.3 Delivered @ Videopro for those that prefer local :)
Also note that Hero5 Session is $333.99 @ Futuregear (NZ) or $348.8 @ Videopro (AU) with CYBER code
Unless you must have the Session's small body, I'd highly recommend ponying up the extra bit for the Black.
Session 5 was $299 on COTD at one point - would buy again at that price.
I would agree with the 5 Black because
1) Session is the same physical volume as 5 Black (used to be smaller than 4 Silver/Black because the 3/4's case doubled the volume)
2) 5 Black has advanced features, microphone inputs, LCD preview screen, better low light
Which is worth the extra $60 or so difference here
Plus shipping
nice price but waiting for the Yi 4K+

28th March apparently is release day but highly doubt I could get my hands on one before my trip mid-April :( Can't decide which one to get..
Whats the smart choice for someone who would only use a go pro 5 days a year? Is anyone else just renting these when they need them?
I too would like to know!
SJ Cam, ~$120 pretty good video quality:

That was from the M10 which is the GoPro session equivalent.
Is it any good underwater ?
Couldn't tell you sorry. I would say probably not, as the night time footage is not great. But if you had plenty of light, like in a tropical area you'd probably be fine.
damn, i just bought it for $440 from ted's camera ebay store…
You made the right choice, the extra $20 for local stock is worth it.
Yep, that's what I'm telling myself to feel better.
would you recommend this due to warranty claims or returns? or…
Yep, DSE eBay HK states no returns so it sounds quite dodgy. Aus stock is way easier to return. Plus you get the extra year under ACL and can take further warranty out with videopro.
Isn't there only 1 year under gopro warranty anyway?
The DSE ebay page says you get 12 months australian warranty.
Do I have to buy a separate housing to take this camera for Snorkeling in Cairns?
its waterproof as is and comes with housing for mask mounting , all you need is apropriate stick maybe or mounts
It's waterproof to 10M without a case so you should be fine. Grab a chest, hand or head mount and you're set
Optional case will get you down to 60M
Thanks :)
Damn! I'm really on the fence about buying one!
Im pretty confident ill be grabbing one - for a trip in a couple of months… now with all the deals popping up for them I have to decide whose the best to buy with
It's the usual gamble of 'should I buy now or wait and hope there's a deal so I can take advantage of TRS?'
I ended up pulling the trigger on the Kogan/Dick Smith one, both VideoPro and Teds were out of stock for me so it was my only choice!
Ahh. TRS never thought to consider that! Bah will make things harder, literally clicked over to 59 days today…
Although does Kogan fit "goods purchased over the Internet and imported into Australia"?
Future owner of this deal,GoPro Hero 5
Be aware that the lid that cover the USB type C and Mini HDMI on the left side of this camera is pretty small.
I lose the lid somewhere and now unable to use the camera's "water proof" feature
Always Keep it in your wallet / pocket after you unplugged the lid
Just got it!
Any good SD card deals that goes well with Go Pro 5?
The CEO said that there maybe next version of GoPro this year. Not sure how true that is.
It's seriously cheap….cheaper than buying from HK….
