Not the current gen 360 camera but at $499 is I think well worth it.
Just bought one at Melbourne CBD and the guy jokingly commented it might be a mistake as its the cheapest they have ever sold it. 2 left in store as of posting and seems like more stock available online as well.

  Be warned that the X5 has recently been released, if that might affect your decision. That said, I had the X3 and took it on two snowboarding trips. It's a brilliant unit and when used properly can churn out some great videos and images. I recently sold mine with the plan to buy the X4… I guess now I'll be buying the X5 :)

    Agreed. X3 was awesome for my last snowboarding trip. It struggles in low light though (not an issue while snowboarding) which I think its improved in the newer models

  This is still a very capable 360 camera in 2025.

  But note, if you chip the lens, which I have done on each of my 360 cameras at least once, it's effectively ruined. And insta360 charge an absurd amount to replace it.

  So another consideration to make with the latest x5 having the ability to replace lenses yourself.

  x5 is priced at almost double the x3 here for reference.

    Wow I swear the X4 just released when I was looking at replaceable lenses for my x3.

    Haven't seen reviews, hopefully a new larger sensor and not just a cpu/ai bump like what the X4 provided.

    Rumors has it dji is releasing their 360 soon too.

  The lens is super easy to scratch and the lens covers ruin the quality of the image.

  I love my X3, but far out honestly spend the money on X5, the replacement lens are as cheap as the lens covers

  also $499 on Amazon, but I'd rather just wait a bit for the x4 to drop to this price since x5 is out.
