    Around $261 for a return flight over the June public holiday for Victoria. $75 cheaper if you were willing to take a day of leave~ good stuff.

      Yeah. Careful. They have just imposed a new $25 per leg charge for boards,bikes,ski's etc etc on top of your checked bags, and you must book at least 15kg checked and that includes your sports gear.

      Just Started in March 2017 I think.

    Holiday to Queenstown in June sorted.
    Just hope there will be some snow around then.
    When hiring car in Queenstown.. Is it recommended to hire snow chains too? Will be for general driving around the south island region. Also any recommendation for car rental company? Ace rentals look very cheap.. but cars seem very old. Looking to hire and return at Queenstown airport. Thanks.

      When I went (ten years ago) in August, we hired a Toyota Corolla and went snow boarding and generally driving all around, we didn't use snow chains, and it was okay. But certainly when you drive up some of the mountains, snow chains are definitely recommended, we managed but maybe we were lucky.

    Queenstown is super expensive. Wish there were flights available so I could spend maybe 2-3 nights only and claim some items on TRS. Very cheap fares but the hotel and experience prices have me thinking twice..
