Jeepers, creepers, where'd ya get those creepers?

  • grabbed one. Thanks

    • +2

Have this creeper. It's not real good if you are taller than 170 because you can't sit on the bottom end and lay down. It's too short. You have to kinda wiggle down awkwardly. A longer one would be better. But it's cheap.

      • +1

Also: the wheels easily catch on small things, so if your garage floor is dirty or not exactly smooth; trouble.

And one more thing. You're quite high, nearly 10cm off the floor. So if you have a low car you cannot jack very high, it may provide some squeezing exercises.

I got mine for $10 a while back with some bonuses, it's definitely worth $10. Maybe even $25, but not much more than that IMO. The quality isn't quite up there.

This could be a great people mover for drunks

    • +3

      I like your drinking thinking!

    • No license required?

    • -1

      or OPs mum

  • +4

Make sure when you get on one of these cheap ones is you try and place your weight evenly otherwise it will break in half very easy.

    • +2

Why would anyone down vote this? Its advice and in no way was negative towards the above product.

      • +1

        It's OzBargain.

      • +2

        maybe for bad grammar

        • sorry, I was just finishing my night shift (awake for 24 hours, now like 26 lol), grammar isn't normally this terrible.

        • @Lenny Pepperidge: lol it's cool get some sleep

      • LMAO "stupid and irrelevant"

I owned one of these and have since returned it. The cardboard sections that have the padding on them are very weak, if you were to place your knee in the center it breaks.

        • -7

Previously you implied that the CREEPER breaks in half.

What are you talking about now?

        • +2

          @llama:

I didn't say the creeper breaks in half, perhaps go read my comment again if it is too difficult to understand. CARDBOARD SECTIONS THAT HAVE PADDING

Why do I even bother to try and help people from making bad purchases of junk when people just seem to be out to cause problems for no apparent reason.

          @Lenny Pepperidge:

I didn't say the creeper breaks in half, perhaps go read my comment again

I not only read it, I even linked back to it

if it is too difficult to understand

It's certainly difficult to understand how the unit could "break in half".

          CARDBOARD SECTIONS THAT HAVE PADDING

You've only just brought that up AFTER I responded to your original comment.

What do you mean by "cardboard"? Is this related to your original comment, or something new?

      • llama, debate is fine but being rude and disrespectful to others is not OK. Acting Respectfully.

        • -2

Apologies for my cranky attitude, and being argumentative.

Certainly not my intention to be nasty, rude or insulting to anyone - only to get some sensible facts about what might be wrong with this product.

          Cheers!

    • Or it maybe an incentive to lose some weight :D

I've never felt that it'd want to break, but I'm only 70kgs.

      • are you saying i'm overweight?

  • +3

I'm thinking this could make a good road Luge…

    • +3

Looks like an upgrade from the wheelie bins I've been using so far mate

    • +2

I was thinking the same thing.. can anyone report in with experience on how fast you can go before it flips?

    • Sure, if you want to unlock the death by road Luge achievement.

    • I'm thinking this could make a good road Luge…

Cornering with castor wheels will be fun. XD

  • +12

As a pure hypothetical, what do you think the top speed of these things is?

    • +9

Based on my experience with shopping trolleys, I'm guessing anything up to 80KPH downhill.

      • hahahahhaah

      • Can I install a rack and pinion in this?

      • -1

        Is that all you got.

If you replace the frame with a lighter alloy and lower the trolley , you'll get ~130kpm

        • Make sure you lower it mate, so you can carve up the mountains too with your lower centre of gravity

        • +2

If you replace the frame with a lighter alloy and lower the trolley

Then I wouldn't get my one dollar back.

  • -1

might work as a cheap bed for the man cave

    • Thank god it's on wheels just incase you get kicked off the property

  • Remove wheels for some fun in the snow

  • +1

Used in hospitals also for go kart racing like in MARIO kart, make sure to collect your mushrooms on the way before you aim for the target. But driving this only gives you a one way ticket unfortunately.

Here's a pic of it the unit in chair config if anyone's interested http://media.supercheapauto.com.au/sca/images/zooms/362694-0…

    • nice bar stool

    • +2

Combine that with one of Supercheap's $1 buckets and you have yourself a mobile portaloo, Superpoo.

  • Wow I was literally looking to buy one today. Cheers op. This is why I love this site

  • Supercheap has 20% off this Saturday for members online and in store - wonder if can stack.

    • Their online thing will be from their online store only, not ebay.
edit: However last time I bought something on their ebay store they automatically linked it to my ClubPlus account, and when they went on sale I was credited the difference (I used an ebay discount then too, and from memory they credited the difference between the non-ebay discount price and their 20% off price…so if you buy via ebay you may get the difference credited).

      • how did they know what account was yours.

        • I'm assuming they match it up using the email address (same on both ebay and club plus) or mobile number (which I put in when doing a click and collect to get SMS alerts).

It did match them up this time too, but no credit as it looks like the creeper went back up to full price at SCA on Saturday (catalogue must have ended Friday). It's still cheap on ebay, so if someone wants one, get it today before they put the ebay store back up to full price!

  • OUT OF STOCK

    • Still available for me. Instore pickup is limited to Ringwood and Essendon in melbourne however

    • Check other locations

  • +1

Great price. My only gripe is the height. Even with my car on stands I don't fit underneath with this (and I'm fairly skinny).

My car isn't too low either.

    • +1

the wheels add height so you need good stands that can go higher as well as a jack. There are ones that are dished or have wheels recessed but they are usually fixed and more expensive.

  • Thanks OP, got one for the garage.

  • i got one of these, bit ordinary TBH. Good if you're a midget trying to work on a car. Wheels arent the best on Bitumen.

  • +1

…thanks for everyones reviews/critiques. useful hearing from others and their experiences of the creeper

  • I'm 7' 300 Kgs is this good for me

  • +1
