Used plenty of Dahua cameras at work. The performance/price ratio is unbeatable. HDCVI setup is great for reuse existing coax cable and power supply, which is a lot cheaper than their IP camera (nearly half the price). Bear in mind, you have to invest more on cabling and POE switch/NVR for future expansion if needed unless the NVR is hybrid with POE. Do not bather to get the plastic version camera from China, $50-70 a piece extra for metal body and local warranty is well worth it.

    • That's a very accurate description of the Dahua HD-CVI cameras, they are truly great value.
Future expansion can always be achieved using an 8CH CVI-DVR and more HD-CVI cameras, unless you wanted to change to IP cameras.
Dahua have also advanced in their HD-CVI range by introducing the 4MP cameras, which are not as affordable as the the 2MP currently but could be in future.

    cash deal $1K?

    • Thanks, but it would not be possible at that price. Maybe you would be interested in our 720P package instead?

  • Make sure you don't put them on a network you care about, and firewall them from everything else.

  • I'm interested with this,
I have double storey house with all 4x cat 6 cables pre wired (you just need to install the cameras and hook the DVR to the wall socket/network hub)

Based on this would you negotiate the price?

Also, can you please let me know the camera and dvr model number? Also I believe the DVR is the one that supply power to camera over POE (no need for me to purchase another POE switch).

Can I control the camera using blueiris software?

Compared with HikVision, is this a good brand?

  • OP or anyone- which product or combo do you suggest for house which does not have any security features including alarm at the moment.

    • Hi, I'm a true believer that an alarm system and CCTV combination is the best solution.
You can set your alarm to call you when triggered and the CCTV will allow you to remotely check-up on whats going on in or around your home.

      • And are you selling cam plus alarm in this post?

        • No, this offer is only for a 2MP kit. If you would like to discuss your needs further you can contact us through our website or facebook page with your details and we will call you to discus.
