A. Offer eligibility criteria:

    To the people that have got the voucher already, did your cards say eftpos on the front or Visa? I applied on the 8th and rang ANZ after being sent the eftpos card and they said for this promotion it didn't matter if it was a eftpos debit card or Visa debit card.

      You can have it on your phone. No issues with the Coles gift card. Just save the PDF or a shortcut on your homescreen.

    What ANZ Access Advantage account do they mean? Does that equal to their Access Cheque Account?

    anyone know the quickest way to close the account? preferably without visiting branch or making a call.

      You have to call or visit branch. I tried via Internet Banking secure message - they confirmed had to call.

      Mind you the call took only 7mins. Call 13 13 14, when you need to say what you want say "close account" and I was on hold for less than a minute. Told the CSR I signed up for a promotion but now think I won't be using it so please close it. That was it, no guilt, no selling - couldn't have been easier.

        do you think it would be safe to close even though I have not used my gift card? I have redeemed a Wish but want to close the account so I dont have to transfer another 2k over this month.

          Yeah - totally safe. If you have the WISH card details then they cannot revoke that.

          You might consider doing the $2k in/out transfers for April anyway because I think someone earlier in this thread closed their account without the transfers in that calendar month and then were charged $5 fee to close the account. FYI I didn't want to risk it so I did 2k in/out transfer on 3/4 and then called to close my account on 5/4 and didn't get charged any fees upon closing.

    I used to have anz credit card and now have super account with them. Applied and no need to verify id, in half day they have my "access advantage cheque account" open.

    Now is Waiting for the debit card. (and yes will call next week to make sure they sent it)

    Anyone having trouble using their card? Deposited money into the account and it's be activated for over 48 hours yet the card gets declined every time I try to use pay pass.

      check online on your account you might need to activate paypass, I don't remember if I did it for this card or a nab card. Otherwise no issue for me

    I'd check done as I received my anz black card today
    Internet banking opened but it showed only my black card account not advantage account.
    Got confirmation email for opening account

    ANZ is a joke. First, couldn't prove my ID online, the website couldn't recognise my application ID, I went to a branch. Then I couldn't register for Internet Banking, website says "service is unavailable" all the time, I went to branch, the girl there blamed me for registering after 7 days passed (it wasn't !). Now I can't access my Internet Banking, says my CRN is disabled.

    I am not sure what is wrong, EVERY steps of the application failed. I wonder if it is because I had a home loan with them in the past. Anyway, I need a second account for budgeting my spending, it looks like it won't be ANZ. I'll start looking at another banks.

      Similar here. Applied online, told successful ID check, and card was on its way.
      3 weeks later had nothing, so called up and they said I needed to be identified at a branch.
      Went in, provided drivers licence and Medicare, was told all done, card would be out asap.

      It arrived 3 days later, activated it, then wanted to put money in it. Nope. Never had CRN provided anywhere. Called up, another 45min wait, then told that CRN CANT BE GIVEN COS I NEED TO BE IDENTIFIED AT BRANCH! Told them had already done that, they said nope. I said I saw he screen say ID check complete, provided branch date time etc. they said have to go back. Asked them to speak to branch "we are unable to do that, but can transfer you". Transferred, got branch's voicemail, no call back now 8 days later.

      And no way to find local branch's phone number- not googleable.
      Absolutely ridiculous.

      And to top it off, my partner DID get a card and CRN, BUT she was given a card with a card number of only 15 digits (should have 16). Not a Visa card! And she applied for the exact same thing via the correct link!
      (For the person who can't get PayPass working, she had the same issue, so maybe check if you have the correct Visa card you applied for!)

      ANZ are absolutely shithouse! Stuff em, never dealing with them again.
