    Any good?

      Reviews are generally neg.

But if you need it, it can be quite the life shaver.

        ;)

          Ok Sean Connery

    • Depends, do you have long beard? If so no good.

    • +1

It is worth its usual cost which is 30$. Cuts short hairs quite well, 5mm ones not so good. For 10$ it is an awesome travel gadget (I got one while travelling across Tasmania - old Braun just died) - compact, works on batteries, but for everyday use I am still planning on getting something better with a dual net, etc.

      • Fully agree. Great for a lite travel shaver but not so as an everyday shaver. Hopeless on anything other that a one-day stubble as I see others here have pointed out.

        • +6

I'm asian. One day stubble for a causasian is like a 5 day stubble for me :P

        • @ankor: Lucky bastard.

    • I have one, it's my first electric one. Its cheaper than having disposable razors (even generic brands).
I don't have enough facial hair to make a nice beard, just enough to look like a hobo when I don't trim

You'll need to trim every day or so because it can't handle long hairs (>2mm) very well. It's not the closest shave but I was never after that when I was using disposables. It'll leave you looking good don't get me wrong.

Occasionally I'll need to use a disposable to get a hair that I missed 4 days in a row with the Braun. Battery life seems pretty good tbh. Longer than 1 hour and very easy to clean

Just chiming in that with stubble - it's pretty much spot on. No complaints and because that's all I ever have to shave, I love the little bugger.

Been using it for more than a month now, and the still haven't drained a set of batteries.

anyone know if enloops will work with this?

    • Yes, why not?

    • Yes, that's what I put in it after getting it during HN's last Christmas/NY sale for $9

    • Works on a couple of AA NiMH (do not remember the brand, usual 1.2v), I used it like 10 times on one charge and it is still going.

    • Yep - using the M90 (same shaver but with a sideburn trimmer) with it, no problems whatsoever. Will last at least a month on a freshly charged set depending on how hairy you are.

    • It's Ozbargain. If Eneloops won't work, the post gets deleted.

These shavers pretty much useless once your beard goes over a couple days long so not for the lazy.

Most effective if you use it daily.

    • +1

It's meant to be a travel shaver so can't expect too much, certainly not your regular shaver:)

    • Any recommendations for a good travel-shaver?

      • +1

I bought the Wahl Lithium ion+ from shaver shop, does both my head(6mm) and beard trimming.

        -Pros:
        Awesome battery life.
        Can purchase replacement accessories.
Can do both facial and head hair.

        -Cons:
Takes longer to shave the head.
        Price.

  • Can I use this to shave my uhmm..twins?

    • +5

r they small enough to fit through the holes/grill?

    • +1

Only short hair works with foils.

Cutting the kiwis that short and maintaining it that short would lead to some intense itching for a lot of men.

Better off doing the old trim with an old set of hair clippers every now and then for management.

I recommend some Veet Hair Removal Gel for Men direct from Amazon.

Apply directly to your vegetables and enjoy the soothing sensation as the chemicals go to work at dissolving your hair follicles.

      • +1

        Hahahahaha. No. Read the comments.

    • TWINS. KIWIS. VEGETABLES. :D

  • How closely does this shave to the skin? Have never used an electric shaver on the face before, so wondering if this does a nice enough shave without having to use the razors every couple of days.

    Asian with non-thick hair.

    • It'll do the job but won't come close to a razor if that's what you've been using. If you shave daily with it no problem, perhaps a bit of a 5 o clock shadow if you're not meticulous.

      • Cheers. Might be worth it after all.

I got one of these last time it was under $10 from TGG. Works well on my sparse chin whiskers. I use it every 2nd day or so, any longer than 2-3mm and it doesn't seem to cut too well. Definitely not great for those who are gifted at growing facial hair.

    Blister packaging?! Sold!!

    • LOL. Straight copy/paste from Shaver Shop. Sold me over too :)

      • +3

"If the shaver doesn't cut you, the blister packaging sure will!"

    • LOL.

Strange though as mine came in a box.

I bought one of these a while back for a fortnight long trip. It's not quite useless, but it's the reason I now have a beard - after spending half an hour trying to shave 2 day growth I just gave up.

    • I would have thought once you start you cant stop.

  • +1

Good deal, bought it, but tbh, not really worth it.

  • Buy it from Harvey Norman and then get the Good guys to price match. They will "We will happily Payback 120% of the difference as a PAY LESS eftpos card or store credit" Good guys website

  • are these good for pubes?

  • This is my daily shaver :) Simple and does the job nicely.

    • In the nether regions?

      • +1

        All regions.

  • I found it useless, couldn't get through my hair :( YMMV

  • This removed the top lay of my skin on the back of my head. Took 3 days to heal. Don't know if mine is defective or what seems to want to cut me…
