$639 price is ridiculous for something this size no matter how "smart" it is. but it's Braun and they are known for high quality with good design.

the size is 17cm x 17cm x 8cm and it's a mono speaker so keep that in mind.

I would consider this a $300 maybe $350 if pushing it Bluetooth/WiFi speaker which is discounted to $152.

it supports Airplay 2, Chromecast and google voice assistant which might be a upside or downside. I prefer if it wasn't smart so I could just charge it and connect to bluetooth.

They did legit make good speakers in the 50s to 70s from memory, but I don't recall any speakers after that. Until these came out 3 or so years ago.

  • they also have LE01 HiFi Stereo Speaker with WIFI, white

    AU $792.00
    instead of AU $2,799.00

only 3 in stock though (in white) and I think they are probably best paired in stereo. a bit rich for ozb anyway.

also smaller one only 1 available.

LE02 Premium Stereo Speaker with WIFI, black
    AU $552.00
    instead of AU $1,599.00

  • This or a Sonos of some variety for a simple home speaker?

    • At least you know who manufactures Sonos and when sh!t hits fan, you know where to vent. Who manufactures “Braun” nonsense?

These look cool.: But honestly they are old dated products with mediocre sounds. They have been this same price for the last couple months. I didn’t think it justified a post given the quality of sound.

We did sell these for 12 months and there was a number of returns and we ended up dumping all the stock back in the supplier.

The current RRP is a joke, they jacked their retail prices by around 30% when we sold these which essentially put the last nail in the coffin.

    • Why do people return them?
What do you think is better in that price range?

    • Are the LE01s worth it for $700 a pop?
