agreed, they should really call it smart (phone controlled) rice cooker.
How do they stop Russian hackers from taking over your rice cooker ???
You mean this guy? https://www.youtube.com/user/CrazyRussianHacker
He's completely harmless - he doesn't even live in Russia anymore. NC represent!Nah it's probably a 400 pound guy in a basement somewhere. How do we know?
What would a Russian want with a rice cooker?
@stonkered: Apparently you can use them to annex Crimea
First of all, you forgot to bold a portion of your question.
Secondly, it connects to your phone through a dedicated app which you use to scan the barcode of your rice. It can then differentiate between 200 kinds/brands of rice, with over 2,000 heating methods available.First of all, you forgot to bold a portion of your question.
No I didn't. Maybe your monitor is faulty. I've bolded 3 comments in this thread.
over 2,000 heating methods available.
Not sure if there are over 2000 heating methods :P
Sure there are! 96.23C, 97.48C 99.73C… the list is endless ;-)
Sold in China for about AUD$75(399 RMB), not sure how much the postage fee is but do feel a little bit pricey.
good to know you have never purchased a Xiaomi product in your life. Just because the RRP is x in China, that has never been the price on any resellers website anywhere ever
good luck flying to China to save a few dollars off your rice cooker.
No different to everything else we buy in Australia thanks to the Australian tax?
Im more than happy to pay double just to avoid living in China.
Countdown timer is @ 12hrs 36mins on every refresh lol
that's a problem with your browser. works fine for everyone else.
Tempting.
Is this a rice cooker or a general-purpose slow cooker? The pictures show chicken dishes, eggs and the text lets us know that it is easy to infuse flavour….
It uses this "IH" tech, basically heating from both the bottom and the surrounding area of the bowl. Food supposed to get evenly cooked thus taste better (in theory). As a regular rice consumer I can clearly tell the difference between a traditional rice cooker (heat from bottom) and an IH cooker. Pressurised IH rice cooker can do even a better job.
Package Contents: 1 x Electric Cooker, ……………1 x Chinese User Manual
Aww, that's me done then.
So you're not a Chinese User I'm guessing?
But it's in Simplified Chinese, isn't it a upposed to be simple?
Just use Google translate
Any discount/deal on the pressured version?
What makes it so smart? All it does is cook rice, right???
