  • Any Zuk users able to advise if there is a supported international ROM yet?
I think last time there was China and India?

    • I bought mine from Banggood and flashed the Indian rom onto it in order to get OTA updates without VPN etc and it's been hassle free since. The OS is still a bit weird and I can understand some people hating it but overall I've found it a really good phone, even better that it's powerful as all hell and cheap as chips.

      • At the moment I have a China ROM phone from another brand, and I have decided to pay the extra for an international ROM as my next handset, as I am sick of getting special offers etc. that don't apply to me as an international user.
I probably get a notification every day or so that is applicable only to the China market, so I just want to feel like i am in Australia ;-) My kids laugh that my default weather city is somewhere I don't know (OK, that was fixed, but I had an unknown Chinese city weather for a few months).

        • That's why you flash the Indian/international ROM. You can set your country to others in settings and manually set your city as default city. Easy!!

I got a Lenovo ZUK2 and a Le Max 2 and both are running Indian ROM. Works fine in Darwin..
Fast and snappy just like my partner's S7. However both phones together cost less than the S7.

  • It does not support 4G B28 700MHz band which seems to be useful in Australia, no?

    • Quite useful outside cities, a little useful inside.

    • +2

Who cares about B28. Phone works fine in suburban areas. Unless you live and work in the bush then you might want to have B28.

    • +1

I'm with Vodafone and they don't have any B28 700MHz towers anyway

  • Its cheaper at Banggood by a few dollars($252 shipped vs. $256 in this deal) and it's been reported to ship with English ROM. Check whirlpool.

  • Ali still shows AU $238.37 for ZUK2, what has expired?
