I was just in the local Coles and saw these on the shelf with a big '1/2 Price' banner on them, they're also part of the current catalogue sale. They're nowhere near as cheap as the recent Reject Shop bargain, but I figure it's a good price for a big-brand battery when it isn't close to Christmas. The packaging on the Eco batteries say they'll retain their charge for up to 12 years, no idea what the veracity of this claim is. I've never had Energizers leak in storage or during use.

Varta @ Bunnings are the ozb champions. 30 for similar price and quality.
Agreed, but despite their aggressive expansion across the country there isn't yet a Bunnings in every town. Ikea is even more thinly-spread. At least with these batteries from Coles everyone else will still have a chance to get decent cells at an okay price.
Eco batteries … cuz nuthin says I care about the environment more than a battery!
