      They've gone a bit nuts

Thankfully they are changing the country of origin labelling laws, credit to tony Abbott!
From July, I think, they will need to show what proportion is sourced abroad.
Up till now it has been a fort of the first order.

what else needs to be said?!

I suppose if you were feeling generous with your time you could list out exactly what kind of nuts are in the bag and their relative quantities?

And then to satisfy sandp above I guess you could list out the country of origin of each of the nuts.

      I guess I could…

      But nah!

Doing that will drive you nuts?

    Very cheap!!

  • Presumably these are clearance from Xmas. If anyone finds stock please post.

The only way to buy a bag of mixed nuts that isn't 99 percent peanuts.

  • Depending on your luck, you may pick up a bag with mostly cheap peanuts.

    • They don't contain peanuts.

  • What sort of nuts? Macadamia's/Pistachio's/Cashews/Brazil Nuts? Or just cheap nasty peanuts?

    • Brazil, hazel, walnuts, and almonds.

Came across this a few days ago,
"Nuts are defined as a simple, dry fruit with one seed (very occasionally two) in which the seed case wall becomes very hard at maturity. True nuts include pecan, sweet chestnut, beech, acorns, hazel, hornbeam and alder. Peanuts, almonds, pistachios, cashews, horse chestnuts and pine nuts are not nuts."

Brazil nuts are also not nuts.

So, this could be a bag of acorns :). Bargain!
