Not really a bargain given you can find heaps of free info on the subjects above.

It maybe worth while if it's bundle and presented well.

Why bother to go to university to become a brain surgeon as all the information is available freely.

It maybe worth while if it's bundle and presented well.

You mean like a brain surgery course?

This is under $25 FFS, last similiar course I went on was around $4500. I would suggest that this would be very useful to anyone wanting to get an intro at the very least. How is someone going to know what to research and learn if they don't know anything about the subject?

    tor browser is free

    • Linux is free too, do you know it well?

Who decides what is ethical? However, any dirt people can dig up that causes the GoP to crash and burn is A-OK with me.

    • +2

      That wasn't very helpful.

      • As I said, who decides what is ethical?

It's a no brainer really. The definition of an ethical hacker is well known and clear.

        • @Maverick-au: Please provide the link to the definition then so we all know.

        • @try2bhelpful:

Please provide the link to the definition then so we all know.

If you can't find one yourself clearly you won't understanding the meaning.

        • @Maverick-au: I love people who say that it is clearly defined and then won't provide a link. Personally I think that ethical hacking is a murky area. If I'm saving Pandas or whales then just about everything is up for grabs; if it involves political parties then maybe not so much. I think this is a genuine question and I want a genuine acknowledged definition. Are you going to provide me with one?

        • +2

@try2bhelpful: Let me make it really simple for you.
Permission granted = Ethical hacking/White hat.
No permission granted = Unethical/Black hat.
          Go research the terms.

@fanuch: so "ethical hacking" is basically penetration testing of systems then. There you go, I thought it might actually be something beneficial to society, and it is just another commercial exercise.

        • @try2bhelpful:

          No it's not.

There you go, I thought it might actually be something beneficial to society, and it is just another commercial exercise.

You really do have no idea!

    • You question the definition of "ethical" and then immediately propose an unethical activity as being "A-OK". 1/10 troll.

      • -1

I didn't say what I was proposing was ethical, I said it was what I wanted. YOu seem to have missed the difference here. That is not trolling that is stating what I wanted.

        • +1

          causes the GoP to crash

Despite how naive and far fetched this statement may be, is it ethical or unethical in your point of view?

        • @fanuch: I think I was pretty clear in my previous post, I said I didn't propose it was ethical.

        • @try2bhelpful: However, I would also say I didn't think it was a bad idea. There is a difference.
