It's been this price for some time now, you are missing the large postage cost.
Shipping cost to Melb is USD $60.50 to USD $133.56

FWIW, I have one and a Roomba 580. the roomba has a few years on it, but the Xiaomi is a stupidly better machine. I've had 3 roombas, all with issues. The app has a lot of chinese to deal with, but if you're willing to use Google translate, the machine is generally a good value and better than anything else in its price range IMO.
100% agree.
I have a ~5yr old roomba 560 and the xiaomi is miles ahead.
my original plan was to keep the roomba downstairs for the floorboards and the xiaomi upstairs for the carpets
however after seeing what the xiaomi picked up, after the 560 did the same area, there is no point in keeping the old roomba.the only things where the Xiaomi fails is the use of the ugly magnetic strips to restrict its area and also needed to keep it falling down the stairs.
"cliff detection" should be built in.
the chinese app was annoying (there is an english version if your android is rooted), however I just use the live camera translate in google translate with another mobileI got mine for ~AU$340 as a friend from China brought it back with him on a recent trip
If I needed to replace the navibot, I would do it with one of these. Navi is still working a treat though.
DO NOT BUY THIS NOT GOOD.
Why is it not good?
Please explain..
Have had one for over 6 months. Find it really good. Most efficient in how it measures out a specific area and then systematically cleans it. Will stop itself if it picks up something too big which wraps around its brushes. Will climb up onto thicker rugs but cannot cope with long thin fringes. Works well on tiled floors and carpet. Is able to navigate under beds and chairs so long as it can fit through a gap which has to be slightly larger than diameter of robot. Highly recommend it's thoroughness.
Hi All,
Has anyone ordered this from geekbuying?
It says delivery is 3-5 business days.. It's been 4 business days, and I don't even think it's been shipped yet.
I've emailed them as it appears to be the only way to get in contact with them.
Will see if they get back to me with any further details… If they're going to charge so much for delivery, one would assume it would arrive within the allocated 3-5 business days. After a little more research, it appears that shipping times do not include their order processing time of ->
"The shipping time mentioned below is not included the order processing time (normally 2-7 business days)"So it appears to be more like 5 - 12 business days in total.
It Arrived today..
But I have a bit of an issue…
I can't connect to it.I ran through the setup, and configured it to use my wireless router, I can see it is connected to the router and it's name[rockrobo]/ip/mac address.
But the app is unable to connect to it and times out.
I've tried a suggestion from another post, that suggests trying to use a 2nd phone's wireless hotspot, with no luck.
I am wondering if a port needs to be forwarded to the device from external?
Anyone have any ideas?
Without it, it's a paperweight.
"xiaomi mi robot vacuum app connection timed out problem"
After a little more research I was able to resolve the connection problem.
My wife had selected U.S. when opening the app for the first time.
Reset the app to default, and chose "mainland china" and this has resolved the problem.Yay! All working!
Also it's not a paper weight, you can start the vac on auto by just pressing the power button, so no app required I believe.
I had the same problem initially. =D
there are a few tricks to the bot as well.
Long press the power button and it will do a spot clean as well.
Good deal but considering the iLife ones pick up nearly the same amount. Check this video at the 9 and 16 minute marks. Xiaomi does 48/50 grams and the iLife 46/50. Can't justify double the price.

Props to sshazam: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/289544#comment-4443967Looking at buying one of these shortly, would it be better to pay using paypal or my credit card (no transaction fees).
Should there be an issue with the unit eg doa, which would offer better assistance with that?
