12 Week Subscription to 'The New Yorker' Magazine: Print + Digital Only $20 US (~ $26 AU), Includes Free Tote Bag

80

Haven't seen this offer posted here yet. Not as cheap as the previous deal posted here, but still excellent value for money regardless.

Australia Specific Offer: Subscribe to The New Yorker and get 12 weeks for as low as $12. Plus, get a free tote bag.

Print option: $18 US (~$23.5 AU)
Digital option: $12 US (~$16 AU)
Print + Digital option: $20 US (~$26 AU)
All options include a free tote bag.

Make sure to cancel your subscription (you are given adequate notice from The New Yorker, I've heard) when the 12 weeks is up, as the price hikes thereafter.

The above pricing is introductory. After 12 weeks, International Print Only orders will be renewed at $139.99 for an additional year, Digital only orders will be renewed at $89.99 for an additional year, and Print + Digital orders will be renewed at $149.99 for an additional year. You may cancel at any time during your subscription and receive a full refund for unmailed issues.

  • this offer is basically always running, and often for cheaper.

you're also now going to get tons of angry comments from people who never received their tote.

    • I wasn't aware of that. I believe it was quite cheap during the Australia day weekend, at $12US for Print + Digital, but I did not see that posted here..

      • 'often for cheaper' is probably an exaggeration actually, but the $20 thing has been running for at least six months. i see it pop up in sponsored facebook ads all the time.

        • Correct! That is where I found this deal. I did a quick search and it doesn't appear to be listed on OzBargain. Hopefully, this is a deal they have running indefinitely for new members. Just thought I'd submit it so anyone interested in getting a subscription can find it easily and hopefully save a few dollars.

Got anything like this for The Economist?

No sorry. If you're only after the digital version there are ways of accessing it through your local library or institutions for free. For the print version, you'll probably have to wait until a deal comes around.

Most council libraries give you access to magazines via Zinio. I just checked mine and I can download The Economist and The New Yorker for nada and get an email reminder each time the new edition is out. So if you're not interested in a tote bag and you don't mind reading on a screen then it's a free option.

      • I've always wanted print editions for my toilet/coffee table. Looks like my State library has Zinio though, and I won't say no to reading a free digital version on my tablet. Thanks for the tip!

No thanks. Don't want to read any news regarding Trump

Isn't it better to know what's happening in the world even if you disagree with it rather than hiding your head in the sand and pretending it doesn't exist?

You're right, but it's so bloody depressing. I imagine the pharmaceutical and alcohol companies are seeing higher demand for their products since Trump became POTUS.

Considering New Yorker print edition is about $19.99 per issue in newsagents the $US20 deal is great for 12 issues. I guess they're hoping you forget to cancel your intro subscription.
