Sorry but deceptive as minimum for delivery is $25

    • agreed, its very sneaky of them, i reckon it might breach some sort of advertising or consumer law as you have to spend $25 to get the special, not $20 as advertised.

    What a rip off!

  • Red rooster chicken or safeway/coles chicken?

    • +1

Roast your own it always trumps both of them.

      • Yeah, but 7.90 (and 7 for costco) for chicken that's cooked and all you gotta do is eat….

      • except having to wait for 40 mins for it to cook when you're hungry & also then wash up the greasy roasting tray, much easier to buy it already cooked. If you want better than Reed Roosters tiny chooks then find a good local chicken shop, simples!

    • +1

$7.90 Roast chook from Woolies/Coles add a $5 worth of chips with chicken salt from local snack bar = gold.

      • +2

$7.00 from Costco and its huUUUGe! Add $4 chips from the local fish'n'chippery and you have got a de-LISH deal-i-yo suitable for any ozbargainer & their dinner guest.

        • I've never tried the Costco ones…hmm

          @mbck:

Yeah, I couldn't believe it… the chickens are the biggest I have ever seen and $7… I know the coles/woolworths chickens are $8 but I think you get maybe 50% mire weight in the costco chicken… and they are cooked to perfection every time. I don't have a membership but when I go with a friend I always buy a chicken and that sweet bread.

        • @hell0:
Not a fan of the costco birds, bit watery tasting in my opinion. Unless they have changed them since a few years ago.

  • Drive to Nando's, get similar for same price. Better chicken

    • +1

Yeah, I agree. I don't go to nandos as I am not rich but $20 for chicken/chips from Red Rooster makes me want to choke that cock! (The rooster-type)

    • +2

Really? Last time I went to Nandos and got a burger in a meal and it cost me $25.

  • It's actually 5.98 at Ringwood costco

  • Don't see the deal here. Could get 2 chickens from Coles + sides to feed 2 families.

    This is blatant advertising.

Try harder OP! Whole chicken from Nandos $19.50 plus free large side promo at the moment. Portugese charcoal chicken from Frangos Petersham, Sydney only $14. El Jannah charcoal chicken even cheaper $12 comes with toum. The best rotisserie chicken probably from Red Lea for less than $10.
