Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 15 (PC or Mac Download) - $145 @ Officeworks

170

This was the cheapest I could find for the bundle sold in Australia. The download link in the email I received from Officeworks. Didn't work for me. I had to contact Adobe Support via Chat.

Here are the steps I took:
Optional: I previously had an Adobe Account if you don't already have one this might make things easier.
Purchased Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements 15 from Officeworks Online.
Start a Adobe Support Chat session: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?step=PSE_downloading-in…
Let them know that you purchased through a 3rd Party and that the link to redeem the product key via the 3rd party doesn't work.
They will ask for the product key.
After some time the support person will let you know that they have activated the product and have assigned you Serial numbers for the 2 products.
I received an email with the serial numbers and the products are registered under my Adobe account.
Download the trials and enter the serial numbers.

  • That's a good price when you consider you get both products.

Yeah. I was only after Adobe Premiere. But for a couple of bucks more (over the price from Adobe directly) and you get Photoshop as well…

  • Good price, but these are the 'Elements' versions which are significantly cut down versions of Photoshop CC & Premiere Pro CC.

They are more like glorified mobile app versions when compared to the CC products.

For 99 percent of the population, these are WAY more than enough.

      • Agree.
Did this with premiere elements. More than enough for most of us.

      • Yeah, Adobe Photoshop Elements comes with Adobe Camera Raw Coverter which I find useful for playing around with my images. Really its all I need. Photoshop CC may have more tools but I try to keep my photos as pure as possible.

For 98% of the population the free options are suitable. A couple of suggestions are DigiKam and OpenShot.

        • Thanks man !

          Price is right!

  • That a good price, assuming it's not the student version.

It's cheaper than the upgrade price from Adobe…

    • +1

It's not the student version. If you want that you need to pay an extra $20: http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/adobe-photo…

If you want that you need to pay an extra $20

Good to see students paying their fair share… They already get enough discounts…

I hope OW check to make sure students don't buy the cheaper, full version…

        • the discounts are because of the uni fees they pay. you don't get the discount for 'free'

        • @fleetfeather:

My annual fees are way greater than uni fees… So by your logic, I should get a bigger discount…

@jv: what's your income potential since you aren't working on a unpaid coursework load for 40+ weeks of the year? depending on your answer, yes, maybe you should get a bigger discount…

          @fleetfeather:

working on a unpaid coursework load for 40+ weeks of the year?

They're receiving a service, not working.

        • @jv: just realised I'm trying to talk rationally with jv lol…

Meh, believe what you want I guess :)

Oh, I pay $10/year for the full CC suite btw. Sorry for how expensive adobe products are for you personally, hopefully you find a good bargain soon :)

        • @fleetfeather:

I already have elements so it's costing me nothing per month

  • I know that Adobe charge more in Australia than the uS, so is there a cheaper legal way to buy this oversea?

      Move there?

      • That doesn't sound cheaper…

          before the wall is built…

  • For those on a Mac and who also don't need Premiere, I can recommend "GraphicConverter" as a rock-solid, cheaper alternative to Adobe PhotoShop.
It's got everything I could ever need - and yes, I used to be a mid-range Adobe PhotoShop user in a past life so can make this recommendation with some assurance.

Wow. So not only is pirating cheaper, it's also much more easy. SMH. Why support these clowns.

    • In Adobe's defence (I can't believe I just typed that). It's a problem at the Officeworks end. But at least their incompetence provides you an opportunity for a bargain purchase.

  • Anyone tried Affinity Photo? (Photoshop without the subscription): https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/photo/

  • Would love to get this, but I'm locked in Adobe's cloud for another year, apparently by not acting to cancel my subscription after the first year, I've automatically signed up for an extra year, and it went from 7.99 a month to 13.19! Chatting to Prashant at the moment about cancelling…
