  • So how many times can it freeze something?

    • +3

Until the freezing agent draws away too much heat from the liquid inside I guess.. Then you got to refreeze it for the next use
Its like saying how much times a hot water bottle can heat up a bed.

Depends on how warm the liquid you're trying to cool is. No way to calculate how many times unless we have the heat capacity and amount of the salt + distilled water mixture that this bottle comes with

Careful, quite a few Amazon reviews said that the freezer pack burst and they only knew after they drank it !

ok so, why cant i just put the drink or whatever in the freezer, like it needs to with the water bag itself

reminds me the logic of a solar powered torch

The real feature is the soft nature of the vessel. It allows you to squeeze the liquid while it freezes and therefore create a "slushie". Works best if the "water bag" is really cold (freezer over night) and helps if the drink is also at least chilled in the fridge, rather than room temperature. Poor in and squeeze a few times. Instant slushie. Kids think they are great.

As someone who likes their soft drinks super chilled I can picture how this is would be useful in eliminating tracking how long their soft drink sits in the freezer, for people who like slushie/half frozen drinks.
i.e. no more "I forgot about it and it exploded making puddled mess in my freezer"

(These days I just the put the cup in the freezer first and that's chilled enough for me with fridge temp soft drinks.

last up to 2 hours. demo video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5uUMKxwlLo

  • I've found the Zoku Slusly Maker to be far better. It has a removable white cup that you freeze and pour liquid into.

Obviously it costs more so wait for a better sale ;)

  • Is this similar to the one that BigW sell them for $10 or something?

  • +2

This looks so gimmicky. It's a drag on the environment because you'll use it a fee times and then put it in a cupboard.

  • Link is broken?

  • +10

I bought 3 of these on sale, they were utter crap.Returned them the next day.

Save your time, effort, cupboard and bin space.

    • thanks

    • Yeah big cheers, we are all slaves to keeping cool in Summer and are easily pulled in.

    • Agreed.
We received 4 of these as Christmas gifts and are useless.
It takes more time, effort and mess to get these working than drving to your local Macca's or HJ's for a $1 frozen drink.

I rang the company directly telling them this, stating I would like to return them for a refund, but was told they would only send me new ones…
They also said that I needed to have the freezer at -18oC. I run ours at -15oC, so I also need to decrease temp and increase electricity running costs just for them to work!

      Avoid!

      • That's a pity they are being bitches about it. If it doesn't state -18 degree on the box, tell them these are not fit for purpose and bring in fair trading.

        • You reminded that I also told them that the advertising on the box and TV are completely misleading and I would be pursuing this further based on Australian Consumer Rights…but I didn't…

    • Cheers. Ordered 2 for the (profanity) of it, worst case, all these comments prove true and I'm out less than the cost of lunch.

  • Has anyone received their order?

I just got this email, it sounds like bs, I think they just ran out of stock.

    "Hi xxx,

Thank you for your recent order with House Online, When the order was dispatched we was unable to ship CF DRINK BOTTLE BLUE/NAVY Due to damaged stock.

I have now issued a refund and this is being processed by our accounts team.

Please do let me know if I can be of any more assistance to yourself.

    • I got mine, but I was the first to post.

I'd say they didn't have as many as they recorded on their site.
