Hey there, I never owned a kindle before, so I was wondering if there's any reason why I want to get one of these if I already have an android tablet that has Kindle app installed already in it. (aside from less power usage, I guess)
The e-ink screen produces less strain on your eyes. It's absolutely amazing for reading books, whilst a tablet is better suited for viewing comics.
Considering I'll be using it mainly for reading comic, I guess I'll stick with it then
Lighter, longer battery life & the e-ink screen is easy to read outside and less harsh on your eyes.
Kindle's are one of those products you don't realize you need until you own one.

A while back now there was a really good deal for a Kindle posted here with case etc, but the retailer renegged on it and a lot of people got bummed out.
Anywho, in that thread there was discussion about different versions of Kindle being available… one with ads and the other without, but with the kicker being the one with ads had exclusive offers available through amazon that you couldnt get elsewhere.
Anyone remember this and what would be the go with this particular one at Officeworks (ads or not) ?

Have a read before you buy it. Aussie ones dont have ads, but the ads only come up when screen is on lock (not while you are using it), and the alternative on the lock screen is just portraits of people or something. Would get pretty boring after like 10min.
I think it would be better to get an import version WITH the ads on the lock screen. My 2c anyway.
On the import version, the ads are from Amazon and frequently contain heavy discounts on certain items.
