i have an asus laptop right now and im pretty sure thats where the fn key is on that too…
It's a pretty annoying schism. I've never got used to the Ctrl key position on my ThinkPad and keep hitting Fn by accident when I intended a Ctrl combination. Would have to use that layout exclusively in order to adapt.
I have an Asus EEE netbook, its' keyboard has the Fn and Ctrl key swapped around.
@QuiOui: Must be the exception, or there's some misunderstanding about what people are talking about here. My Eee PC 1001PX and every other 700-1200 model I've seen has Ctrl to the left of the Fn key.

I haven't seen many with a 6-cell battery for less than $300 (actually, I haven't seen any at all). The sub-$300 tend to have only a 3-cell battery. Otherwise, yeah, pretty much same specs as everything else. It's not a super great deal, but it's not too bad at all. Free shipping is always nice.

@minniewu: also this netbook has wireless b/g/n, the COTD one only has wireless b/g. n is a LOT faster than g.

@zn7726 A deal or bargain is based on an item being cheaper than retail or a normal special. Going by your thoughts I shouldn't advertise a Ford if a Holden is cheaper, what happens if I like Fords??? Some people like Lenovo over Acer, HP, Dell etc so if a product is on special its still a bargain.
I agree with you where I cannot compare 2 different products even if they are similar. Maybe I didn't make my point clear. I didn't say priceengine's price is bad (actually I believe it's a good price). I just didn't get why this lenovo is 70 bucks (20%) more expensive than this Asus (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/27785) and that's why I didn't think it's a good deal for a netbook.
Remember we are talking about Lenovo/Asus, not Thinkpad T series.
I took the plunge, I was considering the Aldi one which is $40 more. Lenovo should be alot better for future if I need a battery etc.
Battery life should be comparable to all the other similar netbooks.

Personally, I don't like the Fn key placement at the bottom left of the keyboard. Just can't get used to it.
