One way cruise from Sydney to Auckland. Four nights, no intermediate ports. Price is for an outside cabin. Probably a port hole. Per person, two in a cabin. Suits those wanting to tale a one way trip in what has been described as a floating caravan park.
It would be a very rough rsl club I tell you!! Was on it for 4 days last December.. been on cruises before but nothing as rough as this. Some did like it … ?? Food was rotten, even a staff member said they were getting sick on it.
Two years ago for me. I didn't arrange it. Very bogan. Food was never as described. Ate at Salt Grill every day at $50 AUD pp just to get one decent meal a day.
On the Ovation (RCI) one of the waiters told me they just get bread. I think he was just trying to get sympathy tips. It worked. I always tip my diamond boys.
Must be a repositioning exercise if it is just sea days.
Not much land to call at between SYD and AKL!
Normally that type of route like the Crystal Symphony one that left a few days ago from Melbourne to NZ would go to places like the Milford Sounds, Arakoa and other places like that before finishing at the final port.
Yep, I guess they're offering the SYD-AKL route as part of a longer cruise around NZ.

They are decommissioning the ship… I was on it 5 months and they were definitely cutting corners on repairs. Food was ok but not as good as your average cruise.
Thanks. Having a look at the upcoming itinerary I'd say you were right. Nothing for the Pearl post arriving at Auckland. I wonder what that last cruise would be like?

Nah, this line is not for me. My wife and I try to do two Crystal cruises every three years and this year we are going to try the Crystal river cruise for the first time.
Nice! I was on p and o for my bucks. I tend to go with royal Caribbean they are actually not that much more but I think they are a far higher standard. Celebrity is also pretty impressive. When on a princess cruise a while ago and wasn't too impressed but I subscribe to the theory you have to remember how much you spent and curtail your expectations.
The P&O website shows some cruises around NZ. I think I saw one on 7/2.
